Some amazing songs missing out on the top 100. Focus, Lean On, Bo$$, 2 On & The Girl Is Mine are all brilliant. (Especially Focus :( )

  • Author

Errors sorted for now, it just means some songs are ranking higher than originally posted. Edited them to allow Heartbeat Song, Threads and Focus in the top 150 and Daddy, Where Are U Now and Make You Feel enter the top 200. Eyes Shut, Afraid To Love, Found Your Love and Live the Life also make the top 100. Doing It, Wake Up, Goodbye and Somewhere In Stockholm go into the top 150, and How Deep.. Mirror Man, The Only Way... and My Window sneak the top 200.

Quite a few great tracks just missing your top 100 but I'm sure there'll be plenty within it to atone for such! :)

Oh yes! :w00t:

Poor Years and Years :(

Also Nero, Little Mix, Zara, Calvin Harris, Kelly Clarkson, Sia, Ariana Grande, Marroon 5, 99 Souls, David Guetta, Ariana Grande, Lost Kings, Halsey, Clean Bandit, Danny L Harle, Tinashe, Major Lazer, JB, Alex Adair, Oliver Heldens, Avicii, Watermat all good

Lucky you that I made mistakes because now they've managed to get top 100 after all :D

Good to see you're liking so many here :cheer:

Hello Spadz

Glad to see Prayer In C sneaking into 2015 for you too, one of my favourite dance tracks of all time now, just so relaxing and perfectly executed.

Be Right There is also a great dance track, admittedly a bit generic but it brings so much energy and some killer vocals which makes me love it anyway, glad it hit the top 10 officially but a bit gutted it fell away so fast.

Yeah, it lasted from the very first chart in Sep /14 through to 2015 for a bit. Very great song :music:

Yeah very energetic

thanks all

#91-100

Now we're doing 10 songs at a time with a commentary for each one :magic:

#100: Years & Years - Eyes Shut (Sam Feldt Remix)

Chart Run: IN CHART [01/11/2015] [32-17-13-11-9-11-22-21-19-20-18-26-33-36-39-36-35-...>17]

299K

At #100 Years and Years bring us Eyes Shut which took a while to climb up iTunes top 100 but it managed to reach the top 40 which was good. The original was very good but the tropical house addition Sam Feldt brings to it makes it even better. Also, it could have been as many as 10 places higher if it had the full run or at least half a week more in the chart :o

#99: Phillip George - Afraid To Love

Chart Run: [13/06/15] [17-16-144-12-18-19-20-24-24-34>13]

303K

After Wish You Were Mine he released this. I prefer it a lot more than that one, maybe because the vocals are less repetitive and it's got more impacting production. It did little in the chart but we've another song by this guy coming up

#98: Oliver Nelson - Found Your Love

Chart Run: [04/07/15] [15-15-14-12-13-12-15-16-17-21-26-27-33-33>14]

305K

My favourite entry and only appearance by Danaelanda is at #98. Found Your Love was going to be my BJSC entry and I nearly sent it the same month as Dan but chose something else. It was one of his lowest qualifiers (/\donia teas) but I think it's a really funky tune and it's very underrated in BJSC

#97: UMEK ft. Andrea Trice - Live The Life

Chart Run: [09/05/15] [20-19-14-13-14-15-12-11-17-17-18-24-29-27-38-40>16]

307K

Found this on Spinnin' Records. The video is odd, so odd, but the song is undeniably catchy :music: again it's the wierd kind of tunes like this I love listening to :music:

#96: Felix Jaehn ft. Jasmine Thompson - Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)

Chart Run: [19/05/15] [22-27-22-22-21-18-16-16-20-19-20-24-27-27-32-29-30-39>18]

307K

Felix's first single as lead artist also gave Jasmine her first chart hit :cheer: it's a remake of an older song and both artists do it perfectly

#95: Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean

Chart Run: [07/10/15] [36-35-29-30-23-21-21-19-18-25-27-27-35-38-26-28-20-23-21-22-29>21]

308K

Justin broke all laws of usual Justin this year, after the Jack U collab Where Are U Now he followed it up with this massive tune :music: you could argue it's repetitive and that may have affected its run here but tropical house really works with his vocals on here. Glad it wasn't a one of, as there's still more of him to come :D

#94: Selena Gomez - Slow Down (2014)

Chart Run: [27/12/14] [18-14-12-10-9-10-12-16-15-15-16-23-30>14]

310K (23K 2014) (333K Total)

One of a few songs from 2014 to enter in 2015. I rediscovered this in a video and decided to chart it. The chorus is especially very catchy :music: need to hear more of her old music!

#93: Sebastien ft. Hagedorn - High On You

Chart Run: [26/07/15] [14-13-15-16-15-12-11-11-15-20-26-24-31>13]

310K

This was a strong BJSC potential and the month I wanted to send it was the month someone beat me to sending it :P it DNQd though, and didn't get much justice in the Rejects spinoff either  it's very Lost Frequencies for me but it would seem I'm in the minority on that comparison

#92: Taylor Swift - Blank Space (2014)

Chart Run: [11/11/14] [19-14-12-9-9-7-6-8-6-5-4-5-4-7-7-9-10-12-11-11-16-19-17-17-18-18-26-28>28]

321K (493K 2014) (814K Total)

Also entering into 2015 is Blank Space, with about half its run in 2014 and half in 2015, oops  her vocals are really brilliant here. Nothing too "in your face" which works great here. Out Of The Woods works in similar fashion which we'll also be seeing here most likely :jump:

#91: Ellie Goulding - Something In The Way You Move

Chart Run: [18/10/15] [18-14-12-14-14-18-20-27-26-25-39>11]

325K

This track had a dance video uploaded but has not (yet) being confirmed as a future single. It needs to be though :music:

that underperforming artists list is spot on for the most part!

:D

Some amazing songs missing out on the top 100. Focus, Lean On, Bo$$, 2 On & The Girl Is Mine are all brilliant. (Especially Focus :( )

All great tracks. Focus and Bo$$ seemed to get old quickly and TGIM too :(

Edited by ᔕᑭIᑎᑎIᑎG ᗩᗪᗩᗰ

yay for 'Found Your Love' in the top 100, you mentioned it in the 101-150 section and I was spending minutes looking for it there

Ellie's 'Something..' really should be a single, I'm not surprised her current single 'Army' is doing nothing it's quite a bleh song.

'Ain't Nobody' is way to low  it's in my top 15!

also loving 'What Do You Mean', 'Afraid To Love' and 'Eyes Shut (Sam Feldt Remix)' :music:

not keen on 'Live the Life' tbh, I listened to it once and the vocal was quite off putting.

great chart so far :D

Eyes Shut  it doesn't need a remix to make it amazing though. -_-

Blank Space and Slow Down are two classic good sangs :music: WDYM too low :o

The forwars is strong in this countdown. :magic:

Yup I flopped by accidentally labelling some songs as 2015 when they were actually 2014 in my spreadsheet :drama: it's hopefully all correct now.

Army is still good but like On My Mind she keeps rolling a 1 on the dice so to speak in terms of choosing the singles from the album :(

Still love AN :music: it got old a little quicker than I'd like though.

I like the vocals too, wacky and fun :funky:

Taking a break for one day as its chart day tomorrow, but in the meantime here's my biggest personal artist debuts of the year :w00t:

Strongest debuts :magic:

Alex Adair

Known for Make Me Feel Better which became quite a strong grower in my chart with its fun production and usage of both male and female vocals which rhyme lyrically. The follow up Heaven sounded quite good, maybe not as good as MMFB ofc but still proving Alex has some 2016 potential.

Alex Schulz

A producer who is probably not related to Robin Schulz despite producing similar style music and the same country I have spotted his name coming up on some music channels which brings him to this list. Examples include Feel and his remix of Feder's Goodbye set to appear in the EOY!

Axwell /\ Ingrosso

Not strictly a "debut" considering the duo make up for two thirds of the amazing Swedish House Mafia but they have their own different sound now and they've certainly delivered! Starting with Something New which became a top 5 hit in my chart (as well as the Robin Schulz remix which was even bigger) their follow ups On My Way (not as good but a couple of remixes improved it a little) and Sun Is Shining which was quite a powerful production yet flopped to the lower portion of the chart :snif: hopefully their NEW RELEASE on New Years Eve is to keep the high standard (let's forget the most recent song though, I already have lol it wasn't too great :kink: )

Cahill

Another one I know mostly remixes of, including Black Magic, Not Giving Up and recently Sia's Alive, he brings a lot of fun dance pop twists to the originals, in some cases making the originals impressively improved upon. I'll be interested in hearing any original work from this guy!

Curbi

Ah what's more fun to watch than an animated music video of a character going around a mostly purple video game like world? *.* he's got a similar music style to Pep & Rash IMO, and his tunes are just as fun as the videos! :music:

Diviners

If it wasn't for discovering LarsM which lead me to subscribing to NCS I would never have discovered Diviners most likely. First heard around March time I liked it and thought it would be good to send it to BJSC and later found out it was a project of LarsM and Kamil Pantowski! They have a different sound, a bit like Kygo in a way and have impressed me with the it follow up Savannah and the remix of Rui Da Silva's It's Your Love! There's more to come for these guys next year :yahoo:

Felix Jaehn

Coming up with the Cheerleader remix which was a big hit worldwide and in my chart, he followed up with Ain't Nobody with Jasmine Thompson and a remix of Ed Sheeran's Photograph which impressively improved the bore to a big jam! :music: also hyping for more from this guy!

Fox Stevenson

Poor Fox could not get much success with Sweets in the chart but his style is something I rather enjoy. It's fun and unique to him I think. Notable songs also include Tico, It's True and Hoohah.

Galantis

Runaway was a big hit in my chart and the official one, and when I listened to Pharmacy I was confident that this artist would be a big debut for me this year :D

Halsey

First I heard of this gurl was an upload in remixed form Ghost which I chose to send to BJSC also. It was later revealed that Halsey was a lot more well known than I thought, as she released an album not long after. It had a few loons on BJ which led me to convince to listen to it. She has got great vocals and her songs are quite out there so it was a nice surprise to see this kind of genre grow to me this year :D

Joe Stone

Joe Stone started my radar off with The Party which I nearly sent to BJSC but decided against it. It's very catchy and the follow up Freak was almost as great. I look forward for more bopz from Joe :music:

Jim Yosef

Jim is a regular on NCS with notable sings such as Lights, Arrow and Passion. He compares with old Avicii and LarsM in style for me.

Kygo

Kygo is basically the guy who I discovered the wonderful world of tropical house from. The outstanding hit Firestone followed up several other jams including Stole the Show, Glitterball and Stay among many others! MORE PLEASE

LarsM

Ah yes. This guy would be the biggest debut of the year. Well, not really a "debut" but since checking his other stuff after sending Squirrel to BJSC I discovered a lot of tunes which lead to finding the Diviners tropic house project mentioned earlier. It's thanks to Avicii and my curiosity for had I not tried to find another Avicii & Nicky Romero song I'd never have discovered him! :o

Lindequist

Finding him on a couple of music channels such as EvolveMusics, his Kygo like sound caught my attention and will appear in my EOY! Songs include You, Thoughts and Serenity.

Lost Frequencies

Lost Frequencies started off with their #1 smash Are You With Me which was also #1 in my chart as the Kungs Remix. He would follow it up with Reality which was sounding amazing and the original and several remixes managed to make my top 10. I can't remember how it did officially but it deserved to be #1 as well tbh :music: I look forward to more from this guy :D

Lost Kings

Again I first discovered this artist from the Koala Control channel when he remixed Ghost by Halsey which I sent to BJSC. His name appeared on other channels as well, coming up with remixes for Vance Joy's Wasted Time and ROZES R U Mine, leading to original work Bad and You. Lost Kings also found success in BJSC as Bad and ROZES were also sent into BJSC after starting the Lost Kings trend

Marlon Roudette

Started out with the top 10 hit When The Beat Drops Out which I liked the instruments at the beginning and chorus (forgot what they're called :kink: ) and the laid back sound which was a minor hit in my chart. The follow up Everybody Feeling Something didn't chart but did just about the same in my chart as WTBDO.

OMI

The massive #1 summer hit Cheerleader and the minor hit Hula Hoop are to blame for OMI appearing here  the vocals really work with this sound to combine into a summer hit and these two songs alone were enough to convince me to listen to the album which was great! :music: hope this guy doesn't hibernate this year :heehee:

Pep & Rash

First discovered after Dan sent the very catchy Rumors to BJSC earlier in the year, they've had several tracks to follow it up such as Red Roses, Sugar and White Rabbit. They do sound maybe a little too samey but they do make great tunes :music:

Phillip George

Phillip first hit the charts with Wish You Were Mine which was officially #2 in the chart which I thought was a great track of course :music: but several months later he put out Afraid to Love and Alone No More which I thought were even better but unfortunately neither came close to the success of WYWM

Project 46

Project 46 was spotted when some of their songs came up on Ultra Music and I fell for songs like You, Beautiful and the Mulgracia entry Take Away the Pain. An artist I should hear more from

Rachel Platten

A very good start for this gal when Fight Song came out which was a great female pop #1 this year :cheer: the second single Stand By You was even more amazing and it'll be quite high in the EOY I Imagine *.* she's got a great voice and I can see me loving her music like I do with Carly Rae Jepsen especially after listening to the great Wildfire album! :music:

Sigala

Easy Love was a record breaking hit in BJSC sent by Lee and as big a hit in UK chart. It's comparability to Diviners - Tropic Love (sorry :kink: ) caught my ears and I fell in love with it, and it was followed by Sweet Loving which was perhaps even better :music: it became a top 5 hit however. Look forward to seeing what Siggy has in store for 2016

Tough Love

The infectious So Freakin' Tight and its follow up Pony bring Tough Love to this list. The lyrics and produce are a lot of fun to listen to also. I'm not too sure what they do this year as Pony flopped :(

Watermät

2014 gave Watermat a debut top 20 with Bullit, a deep house track with use of foghorn like instruments which I guess not all would like to hear, I like how this is his sound and it's recognisable as his track. Very catchy and he's done well to follow it with Frequency/All My Love vocal edit as well as Portland. Sadly Bullit remains the only official hit for him in the chart so far. Can it change in 2016?

Years and Years

These guys debuted in 2014, technically, as they featured in the Magician track Sunlight top 20 hit. Singles Desire, King, Shine and Eyes Shut followed which were all rather great, King in particular which was #1 for weeks officially. Their debut album was almost as good too :cheer:

Zara Larsson

I got dragged into the loonaging of Zara Larsson with Uncover this year which was quite a powerful song concerning the lyrics and vocals. However LarsM has made a remix of it which I feel gives it a bit more magic to it. This year's singles Never Forget You with MNEK and Lush Life (given a release this January  ) proved to give just as good vocals but preferable as they have more upbeat than Uncover, especially the latter which was a great pop choon :music:

Eyes Shut  it doesn't need a remix to make it amazing though. -_-

Blank Space and Slow Down are two classic good sangs :music: WDYM too low :o

The forwars is strong in this countdown. :magic:

Original is good also :)

What do you mean? (:kink:)

Is that good or bas

Thanks all

#81-#90

#90: Zedd ft. Selena Gomez - I Want You To Know

333K

Chart Run: [24/02/15] [35-26-21-15-15-18-17-18-16-21-23-26-23-20-23-23-30-x-35>18]

I want you to know that it's our time

You and me bleed the same light

Zedd's first single lead from True Colors. It's the Selena vocals that stand out in this one. Great track, shame there was nothing better than this on the album.

#89: Little Mix - Black Magic (Cahill Remix)

337K

Chart Run: [20/06/15] [16-15-93-14-13-13-16-16-19-22-34-38-37-39>16]

Take a sip of my secret potion

I'll make you fall in love.

Cahill's take on the multiweek #1 of the year Black Magic. It just makes the track even more fun than the original :music: just for reference, the original was #170 on here.

#88:Lost Frequencies ft. Janieck Devy - Reality

351K

Chart Run: [25/07/15] [12-11-12-12-14-17-17-17-11-12-17-20-33-30-38-39-34>17]

Decisions as I go, to anywhere I flow

Sometimes I believe, at times I'm rational

There may be a couple of remixes of this track charting higher than the original of this :o it's still a brilliant AYWM follow up. The vocals are super in this :yahoo:

#87: John Dahlback ft. Alexx Mack - Count To Ten

352K

Chart Run: [25/11/15] [2-3-4-4-5-7-6-93>10] IN CHART

Close your eyes and count to ten

Boy don't cry you'll see me when

Found this on Armada Music channel. Despite the vocals being a little off for me, it's production in the chorus that I really got into :music: would have been at least top 50 with its rull run I assume.

#86: Carly Rae Jepsen - Your Type

358K

Chart Run: [01/11/15] [17-11-9-7-8-7-12-17-17-21-19-22-31-32-33-38-38>17] IN CHART

I’m not the type of girl for you, and I’m not going to pretend

That I’m the type of girl you call more than a friend

One of the best tracks from Emotion this year. The vocals and lyrics are amazing as per from Carly  got old a little quickly though.

#85: Halsey - Ghost (Lost Kings Remix)

359K

Chart Run: [09/05/15] [11-10-10-12-13-14-13-16-16-19-19-17-25-31-36-37-40-40>18]

My ghost, where'd you go?

I can't find you in the body sleeping next to me

My second BJSC entry to qualify, this reached #14 in the final. It also sparked the later on discovery of more of both artists who I did not expect to enjoy! :D found on the Koala Kontrol channel.

#84: Baauer ft. AlunaGeorge & Rae Sremmurd - One Touch

361K

Chart Run: [06/01/15] [25-23-173-15-14-14-15-16-17-15-24-25-27-30-35-35-37>19]

I will make you a sunset view, I will make it so you're gonna want to

Get your hands involved with me, I don't ever wanna be empty

I think I discovered this on Radio 1 playlist and it had Bauuer and AG in it so I gave it a listen. Great example of trap music and the rap and AlunaGeorge parts work very well here :funky:

#83: NERVO ft. Kreayshawn, Dev & Alisa - Hey Ricky

365K

Chart Run: [28/07/15] [28-20-17-12-10-9-9-8-11-11-16-17-16-26-40>15]

Ricky, you're a star f*cker, dumb tucker, love sucker

Ricky, you're a star f*cker, and you know it

A little different from NERVO's usual stuff, this track is a load of fun and the chorus is very catchy :music: didn't last too long in my chart though oop

#82: Seinabo Sey - Younger (Kygo Remix)

374K

Chart Run: [16/05/15] [18-15-15-13-11-10-14-13-14-15-17-16-17-31-34-35-35>17]

Some answers are better left unspoken when you know

You ain't getting any younger, younger, younger, are you?

If you want to see more Kygo in the top 100 you're in luck :cheer: this is a great example of his magical producing skills. A great vocal track to choose to remix and very laid back. Should have done a lot better in the chart :drama:

#81: Taylor Swift - Out Of The Woods

375K

Chart Run: [22/11/15] [6-6-53-6-5-8-10-8-12>11] IN CHART

Are we out of the woods yet?

Another unfortunate "still-in-chart" victim here. Taylor's late decision of pushing this as a single may meant its flop in the chart  like Blank Space, the vocals are very strong here along with the usual great production to give it a very nice chill tune  the music video is also brilliant just like I hoped. Her best one so far?

From your 81-90 I'm loving Zedd, Little Mix, Carly Rae Jepsen & Taylor Swift!

Hi Spadz

Oo yay at OOTW making it in here, will probs make an appearance on my 2016 list but another great video from her and I adore the chorus to it the most, love all the vocal layers on it.

So many remixes here of some great songs but QT stood out to me from your list, I really should've given it more plays because it is a very good track and rather unique too, mroe chipmunk vocals to love too <3

Thanks for commenting Jay :D great choices tbh

Depending on how long I keep loving OOTW it'll make about the same position in my 2016 EOY I think. Agree on the elements you love too

Chipmunk  thanks Josh

I liked Zedd, Little Mix Remix, Carly Rae, Halsey, Baauer, Seniebo Sey and finally Taylor

Slay me with that list of tunes Harry :music:

#71-#80

#80: Diviners ft. Philly K - Savannah

Life is happy but it's so insane

We must merely make a strive

Chart Run: [29/11/15] [3-2-3-3-2-44>9] IN CHART

Sales: 377K

Just in the top 80 is the follow up to Tropic Love, Diviners with Savannah. It's been hyped for months but was only released about a month ago. It's definitely a tune and a great follow up indeed  currently at #4 in my chart so this will be as high if not higher in next year's EOY.

#79: Joe Stone ft. Montell Jordan - The Party (This Is How We Do It)

It feels so good in my hood tonight

The party's underway...

Chart Run: [16/05/15] [19-17-18-16-15-22-21-21-24-26-28-23-22-21-22-24-23-28-33-31-27>21]

Sales: 380K

What was a previous BJSC potential but later scrapped ended up being a moderate top 40 hit. It samples This Is How We Do It by Montell Jordan credited in this version. Great tune :music:

#78: NERVO - It Feels

Nothing's gonna change the way that it feels when I'm falling in love, yeah

Chart Run: [07/04/15] [19-15-14-15-15-13-13-12-9-10-11-13-20-26-29-33>16]

Sales: 389K

This is one of NERVO's best tracks on the awesome debut album Collateral :music: brilliant piece of music, well produced and lovely vocals. Very underrated (even in my chart oop, it deserved a better run looking at it)

#77: Jim Yosef - Lights

[instrumental]

Chart Run: [11/07/15] [4-6-10-11-16-17-14-20-28-253-21-25-27-29-27-25-33>19]

Sales: 391K

If you're a fan of electronic Avicii-style music then you should like this :music: this is Jim Yosef's highest hit here, managing a half week in the top 5. Discovered this while subscribed to NCS, yay! :funky:

#76: OMI - Hula Hoop

Round and round the way she winds me up,

Like a hula, hula hoop

Chart Run: [05/09/15] [20-12-10-10-12-11-14-16-17-23-20-22-23-19-20-25-29>17]

Sales: 394K

What was supposed to be the follow up to the international smash Cheerleader, this kinda flopped bad in the chart. It didn't reach the top 75 iirc :nocheer: it may sound a bit too similar to the former but what's bad about that tbh? :music:

#75: Ellie Goulding - Codes

Stop talking in codes, stop talking in codes

Let me know what's up, can't do it no more

Chart Run: [08/11/15] [34-27-16-9-9-10-10-11-10-9-9-12-13-14-20>15] IN CHART

Sales: 402K

This seems to be the Out of the Woods of Delirium for me  if this isn't going to be a single then Ellie deserves to flop tbh :| very catchy verses and choruses throughout :music: would have contended for the top 50 had it had its full run most likely.

#74: Avicii - Gonna Love Ya

I'm gonna love ya like no one could

Make your heart feel the way it should

Chart Run: [04/10/15] [5-8-10-11-11-15-25-21-20-34-28-26-22-21-17-20-23-20-29>19]

Sales: 413K

One of the highlights from Stories :yahoo: this should have been a single over the meh Pure Grinding/FABD tbh. It would probably have done better in the chart lol. Nice laid back vocals and the producing powers of Tim after the chorus especially are  :music:

#73: Ellie Goulding - Lost And Found

Tonight, nothing will bring us down

Tonight, we're at the lost and found

Chart Run: [08/11/15] [20-19-13-12-10-12-12-13-14-11-10-11-12-15-14>15] IN CHART

Sales: 415K

Another great track from Delirium screaming to be a single. Again Ellie's vocals are perfect and there's not a single boring moment of the track :cheer:

#72: Shaun Frank & KSHMR ft. Delaney Jane - Heaven

Even hell would feel like heaven

Even hell would feel like heaven with you

Chart Run: [28/10/15] [17-12-8-6-5-5-6-11-13-16-18-20-21-30-27-38-35-33>18] IN CHART

Sales: 417K

One of a few more to come BJSC choonages here :music: this comes from "local dance modifier" ketalina/Aeroche. It won the contest too :w00t: very catchy production and nice vocals, good formula :cheer:

#71: Beth - Don't You Worry Child (Charming Horses Remix)

Don't you worry, don't you worry, child

See heaven's got a plan for you

Chart Run: [23/08/15] [31-10-8-5-4-3-2-6-8-8-11-11-23-29-35>15]

Sales: 421K

Finding this on Kontor.tv channel on Youtube, it is a more laidback dance cover of the massive Swedish House Mafia number one of the same name. Lovely vocals and although it's very far from the awesomeness of the original it is still a lovely song

The follow up to the UK and BJSC smash Easy Love, Sweet Lovin' is perhaps even better, as if it wasn't a big enough tune :music: this may well have been top 40 if it had a full run. lol.

#69: MKTO - Classic (2014)

You're over my head, I'm out of my mind thinking I was born in the wrong time

One of a kind, living in a world gone plastic, baby, you're so classic

Sales: 436K (1.149M 2014) (1.585M Total)

Carrying on from last year's sales (also being the first ever #1 :o ) Classic continues over 400K of sales. I just find this incredibly catchy :music:  has their follow up Thank You made it here too?

#68: Alex Adair - Make Me Feel Better

You make me feel better

So lets stay together

Chart Run: [07/02/15] [28-30-38-37-31-33-30-24-17-16-15-15-17-17-19-16-16-18-16-19-19-30-31-30-28-33-36>27]

Sales: 440K

A grower here, starting from "very good" to "top tunage" :music: Alex Adair makes a strong debut with this summer tune. The video is also perf <3 should've been top 5 at least really.

#67: Philip George & Anton Powers - Alone No More

Why do we argue the way we do?

Can't you see, girl, that I'm, I'm in love with you...

Chart Run: [29/08/15] [9-8-8-7-8-8-7-6-8-7-10-12-16-17-34-40-40>17]

Sales: 452K

Big tune from the Phillip George now. Sounding similar to Afraid To Love but this is even more of a hit. Glad it made some kind of impact in the chart (should have been #1 tbh tho) hoping this isn't the last we see of this guy!

#66: MKTO - Thank You (2014)

We are the ones, the ones you left behind

Don't tell us how, tell us how to live our lives...

Chart Run: [27/09/14] [6-4-4-33-2-15-23-34-53-7-6-8-8-6-6-5-5-6-6-7-7-9-9-10-10-12-13-13-22-31-30-35>43]

Sales: 469K (1.042M 2014) (1.511M Total)

Classic's follow up at #66. Lyrics suggest rebelling against the government and politics and the unfair rules of the world. (coincidentally this is 66, you know, Order 66 in Star Wars etc.)

It makes a third of its total sales this year.

#65: The Saturdays - Not Giving Up (Cahill Remix)

Hit me so hard, I don't know where

Starstruck up in the air...

Chart Run: [30/06/15] [15-6-6-8-11-11-10-10-11-10-19-20-22-22-20-24-33>18]

Sales: 470K

Must have been suggested this on Youtube after my search history was clogged with various Saturdays songs doing Lee's thumbnail quiz :heehee: this is my favourite song by this group (the original was top 50 in my 2014 preference EOY) I've still not made my mind up on whether I prefer this or the original but Cahill has still got his magic on this one :music:

#64: Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk (2014)

Don’t believe me just watch...

Chart Run: [20/12/14] [23-25-20-19-15-14-11-7-8-8-13-11-12-13-13-15-16-27-30-25-28-27-29-35-32-x-39>26]

Sales: 474K(77K 2014) (551K Total)

Big commercial tune now. It also grew on me a fair bit and it's really quite catchy :music: definitely deserved the massive success it got.

#63: Every Last Chance ft. Marissa Dattoli - Spotlight

Baby, you are my spotlight

You shine all over me, over me...

Chart Run: [04/08/15] [4-4-3-4-4-7-7-15-17-12-13-15-13-18-19-26-32-43>18]

Sales: 484K

One of my many floppy BJSC entries lol. Went with this after High On You was stolen. It didn't do much better and is my lowest qualifier yet, also being my only pop entry so far. Its comparison to Ariana Grande's One Last Time is why I fell in love with it and chose it as an entry after Cody played it on plug.dj once.

#62: Lost Frequencies ft. Janieck Devy - Reality (Uberjak'd Radio Edit)

Decisions as I go, to anywhere I flow

Sometimes I believe, at times where I should know...

Chart Run: IN CHART

Sales: 485K

Very exciting remix of Reality here :yahoo: it sounds like it's 2 different remixes in one song  I prefer the first part of the song. The second part is still quite good but this is a superé re-re-remix :music: again it would probably be top 50 if it had the full chart run.

#61: Le Youth - R E A L

If I could feel something, girl you could be down for

If I could feel something, girl you got be blind

Chart Run: [13/01/15] Le Youth - R E A L [19-15-103-9-8-8-11-11-15-16-15-12-15-21-28-26-31-x-40>20]

[10/02/15] Le Youth - R E A L (Tough Love Remix [23-27>2]

Sales: 490K

Le Youth's latest single after the #11 hit Dance With Me. They continued to please me after the first two excellent singles  similar to Phillip George now that I think about it, on both production and vocal basis. I do like his music style and they are desperate for more hits!

Edited by Rachel Spadzten

I Want You To Know, The Party & Uptown Funk are all great.

I enjoyed Classic in 2014, but I haven't heard in since then.

I'm not liking Out Of The Woods, very disappointing from Taylor.

you know I love Make Me Feel Better and Sweet Lovin   amazing tunes!! Uptown Funk is a tune too.

don't like the MKTO tracks, they're quite annoying.

Alone No More was quite good but a big downfall from his previous 2 songs. Would like another song from him soon but only if it's back to Wish You Were Mine standards.

Armin van Buuren the King of Trance now :music: discovered this while looking through his music videos one day. That drop *.* :music:

#59: Avicii - Sunset Jesus

Sunset Jesus came to me,

He once was a waiter, now he's a savior making money on the street

Again it's one of my biggest highlights from Stories :music: very followable chorus and lyrics are easy to sing along to. Should have been a single the poor guy :snif:

:silver: SILVER (500K+) :silver:

#58: Taylor Swift - Shake It Off (2014)

I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake,

Sales: 504K (417K 2014) (921K Total)

Shake It Off leaks into the 2015 from the 2014 with an impressive >500K this year alone :o It debuted in my first official week here at #17 but returned 8 and a half weeks later and grew a lot, eventually appreciating the very catchy brass and repeating vocals in the chorus, spending weeks in the top 10

#57: Martin Garrix - Forbidden Voices

[instrumental]

Chart Run: [18/04/15] [27-15-13-10-10-11-12-10-9-10-10-12-16-17-16-15-18-29-32-34-33-39>22]

Sales: 504K

The release for this should've been louder because the "vocals" or whatever he uses in this is used rather well and makes this a pleasant listen. It strays away from his more House-like sound with Animals and Wizard (both were great all the same) but this is a welcome tune from the Garrix :music:

#56: Two Friends & INSTRUM - Trap King (Fetty Wap ft. Adriana Gomez Cover)

He my trap king, let him hit the bando

We be countin' up, watch how far them bands go

Chart Run: [21/10/15] [33-10-7-5-4-3-5-3-7-8-8-11-14-16-22-19-18-22-x2-33-34>20]IN CHART

Sales: 509K

While I'm not that keen on the original, this came up on a channel I subscribed to and it's essentially a remake of Trap King by Fetty Wap and it's put together very well. The girl's vocals are played out really well and the production is bangin' fresh :music:

#55: Rachel Platten - Fight Song

This is my fight song,

Take back my life song...

Chart Run: [26/05/15] [25-19-15-11-10-73-12-15-22-23-23-26-21-19-19-17-18-21-29-31-33>23]

Sales: 513K

Sending big waves now is Rachel Platten who comes out of nowhere with this smashing #1. It managed to get there despite my doubts that it wouldn't but it did :yahoo: very pumping chorus and her vocals are strong throughout. Her follow up, Stand By You is close to reaching the iTunes top 100, but how far has it come in my EoY?

#54: ATICA - Fire

Hey...

Fire...

Chart Run: [22/08/15] [13-8-6-4-3-2-3-4-4-7-7-8-16-15-14-26>16]

Sales: 516K

First of three instrumentals in a row come from this guy who came up on Spinnin' Records. It apparently samples vocals from another song called Fire and oh my the production is put to really good effect here :music: very catchy.

#53: Eelke Kleijn - Celebrate Life

[instrumental]

Chart Run: [12/05/15] Eelke Kleijn - Celebrate Life [32-20-24-29-23-21-24-23-15-15-13-13-11-10-12-11-17-16-17-15-22-22-26-31>23]

Sales: 522K

Also from Spinnin' Records debuts Eelke with a fun but wierd style of production here. A little like Watermat now I think about it  might not be to everyone's tastes but to me, it's a big tune :music:

#52: LarsM - Squirrel

[instrumental]

Chart Run: LarsM - Squirrel [19-14-12-11-11-13-14-13-18-16-15-14-15-19-22-23-27-24-24-23-27-34-31-33-27>25]

Sales: 526K

So this id the song that started it all. First discovering it under a fake Avicii title a few years while looking for more of his music, I eventually found it to actually be the below song (assuming it was to get views). I would not actually come around to downloading it until some time in 2014, and would not decide to venture into more of his music until earlier last year when searching for a lesser known BJSC entry, choosing this, and randomly deciding to check his other stuff out. This lead to this guy becoming my biggest lesser known artist to date and it became a big year for this guy  Sounds a little like Forbidden Voices come to think about it

#51: Years & Years - King

Oh, oh, oh,

I was a king under your control...

Chart Run: [03/02/15] [29-23-15-10-9-113-13-12-11-13-12-11-11-12-13-16-20-28>19]

Sales: 527K

Just one place out of the top 50 is Years & Years with King, my favourite of their songs so far. And for good reason, as it has a more dancier approach to this than their other work. Vocals as good as ever from these guys and it was great to see this get #1 recognition in the real chart :yahoo:
