January 11, 20169 yr Author This surely has to be Leo's year, still gutted he hasn't won one before :( Would have loved him to have won for Titanic especially (due to the fact it is one of my favourites movies of all time) Anyway so excited for the Oscar nominations on Friday after these results! Does anyone know what time they are revealed in the UK?
January 11, 20169 yr 13:30 on Thursday! I have the day off so I might choose to stay in for the reveal.
January 11, 20169 yr Author Nooo   I'm doing a revision lesson before a History test the next day and have a Maths lesson while the reveal is going on :( Thought it was on Friday and if so, 1:30 would have been bang on perfect timing as well! Oh well, at least I can watch the actual ceremony!

January 12, 20169 yr Yay at Brie Larson winning for Room, after watching it yesterday she really was phenomenal. The TV interview scene felt like I was watching a real documentary, she had so much emotion. It could well be my favourite performance yet this year but Alicia Vikander and Cate Blanchett were also fantastic, a bit gutted that the former didn't win for Ex Machina at least but Kate Winslet winning is always lovely to see. Really pleased with Jennifer Lawrence winning too because she did have the best actual performance in that category, going to be extra interesting now when it comes to the Oscars noms if Mara is classed as lead because surely Lawrence can't miss out now. Sylvester Stallone was a worthy winner too, not seen any of those nominees other than Rylance but he really added extra emotion to the role of Rocky. A bit stunned he didn't thank Ryan Coogler though who has completely revitalised his franchise.
