I wonder if Louisa will miss the official #1 simply because she only has 4 days to sell this week. I thought she'd have a big lead by now but it seems the song isn't popular by XF-Winner standards

I don't really think it has much to do with the song (X Factor winner's singles aren't exactly known for being pop masterpieces) and more to do with fact X Factor is on its last legs and people really do not care like they used to.

Viewing figures were down by 2 million. She did get over 4 million votes though (53% of 8 million). But votes are free nowadays so it doesn't mean people will spend money.

I have bought every X Factor winners single since Shayne Ward but I'm not buying Louisa's song because I won't listen to it.

I voted for her almost every week and will support her music afterwards (if it's any good) but I guess it's down to personal preference and all of the others have at least been listenable, for me anyway. I really think it'll be the first time the winners song misses #1.

Also you can get 5 free votes so you can easily slash the 4 million votes by 4/5

I'm sure this will be the lowest selling X Factor single, it really is a poor choice of song, so boring. Why does the winner's single always have to be a ballad anyway?

As for why 'Hello' hasn't got as much of a boost as people expected, surely it's because there's hardly anyone left to buy the single/album who doesn't already have either!

This about both. 2m albums in 4 weeks and what do you expect for the single now? She's still top 4 combined.

About this year winning song.. Yes... Poor choice... She's great, I feel bad for her.

boh look at the US, 25 has broken all those records and Hello is still #1 on iTunes selling double than anybody

there are always potential buyers out there so surprised at the small xf effect on Hello

Still a very prominent share, especially in the higher regions of the chart. Louisa needs to outsell #2 averagely by 2:1 for the whole period Mon - Thu to get a download sales #1. And she needs to overcome about 50k "sales" generated by 'Love Yourself' streams to get to #1 officially. She could do it if she builds a strong enough lead (like 3:1) by the end of today and then drops steady to 1.7:1 - 2:1 by the end of Thursday in iTunes, and if she sells a lot of physicals on Wednesday and Thursday.

This...

Will be very interesting to see how this song performs, the Xmas chart could be quite a battle next week.

"Battle" with a song that streamed more than selling.. and already number 1.. this will be the lowest number 1 on Christmas ever.

I do like Louisa, but it's about time these awful winner's singles started getting what they deserve. They're the lowest form of 'music', and I'll wait and see what she comes up with for her first proper single.
How much of a lead do people think Louisa will get of Bieber? she is talented but the song is very bland

It's a shame but there's no hype at all about the Xmas chart this year, I wonder if X Factor has just killed off the UK's love of the Xmas No.1 once and for all, just as it FINALLY seems that they're not going to dominate anymore and others have a chance once again.

It's a shame too because it looks as if a 150k selling 'normal' song could easily bag the top spot this year, but I suppose no OA/OS release would have the power to command that big an opening really.
