Great Section again :D

Thanks :D

Doing It, BO$$ and Cool for the Summer are three huge highlights

They are great songs. Glad to see them stand out to you. :)

60. Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo - Rhymes

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 4-1-9-16-20 (5 weeks)

Official Peak: 13

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =79

Lyric: Stop, format it.

Comment: Apart from the 2 with obvious disadvantages this is the lowest finishing of my 2015 number ones. It's a decent track with a brilliant video but I completely forgot it existed for most of the year.

59. Catfish And The Bottlemen - Cocoon

My Peak: 08

Chart Run: 10-8-12-13-16-15-17 (7 weeks)

Official Peak: DNC

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =76

Lyric: And your friends all hated it.

Comment: This is a song I've been loving since late 2014 because of its feature on the FIFA 15 soundtrack. I finally got round to charting it just before the release of 16. This is an absolutely amazing track, I still haven't got bored of it.

58. AronChupa - I'm An Albatraoz

My Peak: 02

Chart Run: 2-3-5-12-19 (5 weeks)

Official Peak: 25

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 63

Lyric: F**k that little mouse, coz I'm an Albatraoz..

Comment: I hated this when I first heard it but it eventually grew on me. I can't help but sing along when I hear it.

57. Natalie La Rose ft Jeremih - Somebody

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 8-1-8-14-15-15-14-19-(x5)-19 (9 weeks)

Official Peak: 02

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 103

Lyric: Natalie La Rose

Comment: This really shouldn't of hit number one in my chart but it managed it on a really slow week and fell hard afterwards. Both artists have better number ones to come. My love for Natalie La Rose grew a lot more after I found out she was the girl in the Dedication To My Ex video by Lloyd. Also the way she says her name at the beginning.

56. Major Lazer ft DJ Snake & MØ - Lean On

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 2-1-4-9-15 (5 weeks)

Official Peak: 02

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =55

Lyric: Blow a kiss, fire a gun.

Comment: I was loving this but overplay killed it for me completely. This should have spent longer in my chart but I was literally hearing it everywhere and so it got boring.

KDA and Demi songs are good, but both artists have made better songs for me (Tinie and Katy B and Demi)

I kind of like Rhymes but it's very repetitive and the vocals start to annoy me after a while :( adore AronChupa :music: Lean On's great and Somebody is good :)

Yeah, I prefer others from Tinie & Demi too.

Rhymes is very repetitive  Glad to see you're liking the other 3 as well. :)

55. Slaves - The Hunter

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 1-2-6-12-18 (5 weeks)

Official Peak: DNC

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 62

Lyric: It is reckless and pointless, but also very fun.

Comment: I don't use like 'rock' music but this is such a tune. I've found everything else by Slaves to be slightly one the shouty side but the vocals on this are just right.

54. Tough Love - So Freakin' Tight

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 9-1-7-17-18-17-16 (7 weeks)

Official Peak: 11

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 68

Lyric: Your body's so freakin' tight.

Comment: Like most dance songs similar to this. I enjoy it a lot for a couple of weeks and then get bored off completely. It's starting to regrow on me now though. It was a bit of a travesty this beat a song still to come to number one in my chart.

53. The Wealdstone Raider - Got No Fans

My Peak: 02 (01 in 2014)

Chart Run: -2-2-7-10-20-19-19-19-18-12-18 (11 weeks)

Official Peak: 05 (in 2014)

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 45

Lyric: Rio Ferdinand, I like you, you've got fans.

Comment: The 2nd holdover from 2014's countdown, following the song that knocked it off number one. The fact that this got top 5 officially, still makes me happy.

52. J. Cole - Wet Dreamz

My Peak: 03

Chart Run: 14-3-4-10-8-13 (6 weeks)

Official Peak: DNC

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =48

Lyric: With a pocket full of rubbers and an erection.

Comment: The tale of a kid losing his virginity. Features ultra-quotable lyrics and one of the most adorable and best videos of the year showing two dogs fall in love.

51. Ariana Grande ft Iggy Azalea - Problem

My Peak: 03 (01 in 2014)

Chart Run: -4-3-8-9-18-18-17-18-19-19-20-19-19-20-20-20-15-18 (18 weeks)

Official Peak: 01 (in 2014)

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =37

Lyric: Every time you touch me, and say you love me.

Comment: And the final carryover from 2014 is my favourite song of 2014. Spent 54 weeks in my top 20 and had 2 stints at my number one. This would feature very highly on a countdown of my favourite songs of all time.

Edited by RobinJuanPersie

Albatraoz! :yahoo: absolute anthem, crazy good!

So Freakin' Tight took a while to grow but I can enjoy it now. Got No Fans *_* When I say got no you say... one of the best novelty tracks in recent times.

Albatraoz is brilliantly euphoric.

Got No Fans is so good it's past being novelty. I'm waiting for his smash follow-up not.

50. Childish Gambino - Sober

My Peak: 03

Chart Run: 4-3-3-5-12-20-(x23)-16 (7 weeks)

Official Peak: DNC

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 46

Lyric: And now that it's over, I'll never be sober.

Comment: Gambino is one of the most talented people in the world. Comedian turned actor turned rapper and now singer. This is one of the best R'N'B songs of the year, I certainly never knew he could sing this well. Also voice of the best version of Spider-Man.

49. Nick Jonas ft Tinashe - Jealous

My Peak: 03

Chart Run: 5-3-10-12-17-(x9)-18-(x18)-18 (7 weeks)

Official Peak: 02

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =64

Lyric: Cause you're too f**cking beautiful.

Comment: This is my most surprising hit of the year. The Jonas Brother's music was pretty dire but he hit the jackpot with this. It must have been the other 2 holding him back. Tinashe elevates the song to even further heights. Their voices really work well together.

48. Big Sean ft E-40 - I Don't F**k With You

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 5-1-6-15-20-(x19)-19 (6 weeks)

Official Peak: 67

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =70

Lyric: Say you want me to win, but hope I lose.

Comment: The perfect song to listen to if you're angry. Love E-40's Obama-esque style of rapping especially. That's definitely what originally appealed to me in the song.

47. Kendrick Lamar - King Kunta

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 18-1-4-9-12-17-16-(x1)-20 (8 weeks)

Official Peak: 56

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 58

Lyric: But most of y'all sharing bars like you got to bottom bunk in a two-man cell.

Comment: I listened to To Pimp A Butterfly a few times when it was released and this is so much stronger than anything else on it. (Apart from i, but that is butchered with the album version). Kendrick still has two more songs to go but they're both features so he falls before his rumoured soon to be collaborator J. Cole.

46. Charles Hamilton ft Rita Ora - New York Raining

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 1-3-7-7-11-19-20 (7 weeks)

Official Peak: 29

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =48

Lyric: You make me smile, stop doing that.

Comment: When I first heard this I was fully expecting it to be a big hit, especially when it was in that advert that was on all the time. I was shocked it flopped so much, with Rita on it it looked like an obvious top 10 hit. In terms of rapper/female singer, New York based songs, this >>>> Empire State Of Mind.

Yess Wieldstone Raider :music: :yahoo: we need more hits like him and Lunchmoney Lewis! Jealous, Problem, SFT all great and NYR is quite good :)

65. What a tune this was from Kanye.

64. A golden revival for this.

63. Thank you Guardians of The Galaxy for bringing this back to my ears.

62. Weren't a fan of 'Cool For The Summer' sorry.

61. Another great tune with Tinie Tempah involved.

60. This was all right

59. Not heard this sorry.

58. Not a fan of this sorry.

57. Great use of sample here with Natalie La Rose. What a tune this is.

56. Overplayed a lot for me this was.

55. Not heard this.

54. Not a fan of this.

53. Well done The Wealdstone Raider

52. Will J Cole ever have UK mainstream success?

51. Great tune from 2014

50. Underrated rapper he is, Childish Gambino.

49. This betters anything he did with the Jonas Brothers.

48. Definitely the prefect song to listen to if you're angry.

47. Very glad he got a UK #1 album.

46. Shame this flopped.

Love all them bar Charles Hamiltion :(

Happy to see you loved most of them then :D

Yess Wieldstone Raider :music: :yahoo: we need more hits like him and Lunchmoney Lewis! Jealous, Problem, SFT all great and NYR is quite good :)

I don't think J. Cole will ever have a breakthrough in the UK which is a shame. At least he's massive in the US.

I was delighted Kendrick got to number one in the albums too. :)

Gotta agree over Nick Jonas, Big Sean & Major Lazer.

Very happy to see you're liking lots of the songs.

45. Liam Lynch - United States Of Whatever

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 6-1-4-13-12-20 (6 weeks)

Official Peak: 10 (in 2002)

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 59

Lyric: And I'm like, yeah whatever!

Comment: Definitely the shortest song that has (and ever will) grace my chart at 1:30 of brilliance. Liam is actually a very talented man directing one of my favourite music videos of all time, Tribute by Tenacious D. He also was the director for the slightly less good movie.

44. Vic Mensa ft Kanye West - U Mad

My Peak: 02

Chart Run: 4-2-4-7-16-(x4)-19-(x6)-17 (7 weeks)

Official Peak: DNC

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =50

Lyric: She ain't really bad, she's a photo thot.

Comment: I love this much more than the short run suggests. Kanye's verse is brilliant and is easily the best thing he's done this year. This is so much better from Vic than 'Down On My Luck' which was just ok. The beat for this elevates it to new levels.

43. Alessia Cara - Here

My Peak: 03

Chart Run: 3-4-5-9-11-10-13-(x7)-18 (8 weeks)

Official Peak: 89

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 36

Lyric: With people who don't even care about my well-being.

Comment: Very happy to see Alessia finished 2nd in the sound of 2016 poll. This is amazing and will surely blow up soon. I'm a very anxious person so many of the lyrics are pretty accurate also.

42. J. Cole - Apparently

My Peak: 03

Chart Run: 14-3-4-10-8-13 (6 weeks)

Official Peak: DNC

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =55

Lyric: Getting head like a coin toss.

Comment: This song was constantly on a Spotify advert I kept hearing and it was bugging me because it sounded so familiar. I finally got around to listening to it and it was brilliant. I still can't work our the song it was reminding me of, is though.

41. Jidenna ft Kendrick Lamar - Classic Man

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 2-1-3-7-11-15-16-20 (8 weeks)

Official Peak: DNC

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =39

Lyric: I got Piranha flow, f**ckin' up your designer clothes.

Comment: Just missing out on my 2015 top 40 is Jidenna. The first time I heard this I though it was awful but I kept hearing it everywhere and it eventually grew into one of my favourites. Kendrick's verses are decent but it's all about that catchy chorus. Unfortunately happened to be one of them songs that does well in America but never takes off over here.

40. Skepta - Shutdown

My Peak: 02

Chart Run: 18-2-8-8-3-5-12 (7 weeks)

Official Peak: 39

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 42

Lyric: Say you don't eat pork, don't eat pussy, liar, you're just an actor.

Comment: Skepta is certainly one of my favourite artists of recent time to not have reached number 1 in my chart. This is his 2nd #2 in my chart after 2014's classic That's Not Me. The video of Drake bringing out Skepta to perform this at Wireless is insane.

39. David Zowie - House Every Weekend

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 14-1-2-6-10-14-11-17 (8 weeks)

Official Peak: 01

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =39

Lyric: When it comes to house every weekend.

Comment: All I can really say about this is that it is an absolute banger. Famously went to number one on the first Friday chart. So glad it beat Shine because that song is seriously dull.

38. Ariana Grande - One Last Time

My Peak: 06

Chart Run: -10-18-(x2)-15-9-12-12-(x10)-11-6-8-9-13-15 (12 weeks)

Official Peak: 24

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =26

Lyric: Can't you forgive me? At least just temporarily.

Comment: This is a marvellous song but is probably my least favourite single, maybe even song off My Everything. Didn't expect this to do as well as it did officially after Love Me Harder missed the top 40.

37. Selena Gomez - Same Old Love

My Peak: 04

Chart Run: 17-4-9-12-13-7-5-5-9-9-12-16- (12 weeks)

Official Peak: 81

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =15

Lyric: I've heard it all before, at least a million times.

Comment: This was actually quite disappointing the first time I heard it but it's turned out to be a sleeper hit. Charli's 'oohhs' are a little distracting but Selena's parts are brilliant. Also how great is Selena looking nowadays? :o

36. Drake ft PARTYNEXTDOOR - Preach

My Peak: 03

Chart Run: 14-10-5-3-3-13-19 (7 weeks)

Official Peak: 53

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 47

Lyric: Still in Miami.

Comment: Even though there is still another Drake song in the countdown I think this might be the best thing Drake has ever done. Stands out massively on If You're Reading This... PARTYNEXTDOOR's heavily auto tuned vocals could get annoying but they just work on this song. Can't find a proper video for this on YouTube so onto Spotify I go.

35. The Weeknd - Often

My Peak: 02

Chart Run: 2-3-9-6-12-(x22)-10-14-18 (8 weeks)

Official Peak: 65

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =37

Lyric: She asked me if I do this everyday, I said often.

Comment: Even with the very explicit lyrics, I still find this so smooth. Someone needs to tell him the t in 'often' is silent though.

34. WSTRN - In2

My Peak: 02

Chart Run: 2-3-4-4-10-11-11- (7 weeks)

Official Peak: 04

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 35

Lyric: I replied 'music baby, follow my Insta'.

Comment: Big tune from WSTRN. Very unlucky not to nick a week at number one in my chart as I listened to it more in it's week at 2 then I have for most number ones this year.

33. Natalie La Rose ft Fetty Wap - Around The World

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 1-5-3-7-9-14-12-10-15-19 (10 weeks)

Official Peak: 14

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =24

Lyric: If I was your girl.

Comment: Although Fetty doesn't really add that much to this song, this is the better of her releases this year. Incredibly catchy, didn't deserve to flop anywhere near as bad as it did, even with the held back release.

32. Lost Frequencies - Are You With Me

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 17-1-2-3-4-10-16-15-18 (8 weeks)

Official Peak: 01

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 34

Lyric: Listen to the Mariachi play at midnight.

Comment: The song that has had the shortest ever reign at number one in the charts  Usually dance songs like this have a quick burn out rate for me but I enjoyed this for a surprisingly prolonged period of time. A little boring to listen to now though.

31. Selena Gomez - The Heart Wants What It Wants

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 1-1-3-8-14-16-(x7)-11-10 (8 weeks)

Official Peak: 30

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 33

Lyric: This is a modern fairytale.

Comment: Before this I didn't have much of an interest in Selena. I'd liked the odd song of hers and I hadn't heard this until it's play on the chart show. But this stuck with me even after only one listen and I went back and became hooked with it. Since then she has really developed into one of my favourites with a pretty brilliant era.

30. Drake - Hotline Bling

My Peak: 02

Chart Run: 16-2-2-2-8-6-9-10-13-11-14 (11 weeks)

Official Peak: 03

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 12

Lyric: Doing things I taught you, gettin' nasty for someone else.

Comment: I was loving it before the infamous video but it helped me love it more. Starting to get a little overplayed but still a big tune.

29. Lady Leshurr - Queen's Speech 4

My Peak: 02

Chart Run: 4-2-2-2-2-4- (6 weeks)

Official Peak: DNC

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 30

Lyric: And I've got a light skin friend that looks like Rachel Dolezal.

Comment: I don't think a song will ever been so unlucky to spend a whole month in 2nd in my chart again. Saying that QS5 in number 2 in my chart this week so who knows. A couple of the lyrics are a bit crud but it's still an endlessly quotable song.

28. Olly Murs - Kiss Me

My Peak: 03

Chart Run: 11-5-3-4-6-7-6-11-10-12- (10 weeks)

Official Peak: 11

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 14

Lyric: Do things that drive you crazy.

Comment: By an absolute mile the best thing Olly's ever done. Yes it's a bit of a Weeknd copy (honestly thought it was him the first time I heard it on the radio). Disappointing that this missed the top 10 officially as he's released a few duds that have got top 10 with ease. (Unpopular opinions but I'm referencing Dear Darlin' & Up when I say that).

27. LunchMoney Lewis - Bills

My Peak: 01

Chart Run: 2-1-6-7-5-7-11-16 (8 weeks)

Official Peak: 02

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: 28

Lyric: Neighbour's damn dog done crapped on my lawn.

Comment: The biggest novelty type hit of the year finishes in my countdown at 27. Annoyingly catchy song but I think Lewis is destined to be a one hit wonder.

36. Fetty Wap ft Remy Boyz - 679

My Peak: 02

Chart Run: 3-2-7-11-7-8-8-11-12-20 (10 weeks)

Official Peak: 20

End-Of Year Points Chart Finish: =22

Lyric: They like 'Monty, can you be my baby daddy'. I'm like yeah.

Comment: Another tune from Fetty. I've probably placed this slightly too highly in my countdown here as I got bored of it semi-quickly. It seemed to take ages to peak in the top 20 in the chart to remove Fetty's one hit wonder tag in the U.K.

Edited by RobinJuanPersie

One Last Time   I love this and her bigger hits as well.

Not keen on Hotline but Kiss Me is quite good like Up and better than Stevie/Seasons/Wrapped Up/another single I can't remember it's title :kink:

Bills and 679 are great bopz :music: In2 is quite good, prefer the remix with all the rap geezers in. Around The World, I kinda forgot it existed :kink: was ok iirc, might give it a few more listens.

Like those Selena songs, especially love Are You With Me :music: and House... is a fab dance #1 :cheer:

Hotline Bling, Are You With Me, Shutdown all excellent. Great seeing the latter getting Guardian's track of 2015 award, very surprised!
