Posted December 31, 20159 yr During the next week or so, I'll be counting down the Top40 songs of 2015 in Mack's Top40. I have done this points system e.g. 40- #1 36- #2 32- #3 28- #4 24- #5 20- #6 16- #7 12- #8 8- #9 4- #10 Enjoy the countdown.
December 31, 20159 yr Author We begin the countdown with a three-way tie for 40th: 40TH= NATALIE LA ROSE FT JEREMIH- SOMEBODY #1 112PTS 8zqdo_Umd5c JUSTIN BIEBER- LOVE YOURSELF #1 112PTS oyEuk8j8imI ELLIE GOULDING- LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO #1 112PTS AJtDXIazrMo At #40. We have a three-way tie and the only tie seeing as three songs had the same song. I thought I might as well include them with Natalie La Rose and Jeremih's 'Somebody' which is loosely based on the late great Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody'. This was at #1 in my chart for 2 weeks. Also we have my Xmas #1 from Justin Bieber. His first of three songs in this countdown. Finally we have 'Love Me Like You Do' from Ellie Goulding which again got to #1 here and was the soundtrack to erotic thriller "Fifty Shades of Grey". The biggest charting song in the UK from an erotic thriller. Basic Instinct didn't have that.
December 31, 20159 yr 3 Great songs to start off Mack, Looking foward to see whats next here Mack :cheer:
January 1, 20169 yr Author 39TH: DEORRO X CHRIS BROWN- FIVE MORE HOURS #1 116PTS j3CaHeakZF4 At #39 we have Mexican-American DJ Deorro and Chris Brown with their #1 from the summer. This is a solid summer tune.
January 1, 20169 yr Author 38TH: TAYLOR SWIFT- BLANK SPACE #2 116PTS e-ORhEE9VVg At #38 we have Taylor Swift with 'Blank Space' who makes an apperance in this Top40 for the fourth year in a row. A message to Sean in the music video beware of Taylor Swift scorned and don't cheat on her. Some people I know thought she said "all the lonely Starbucks lovers". She is looking very fine in this video though and with currently over 1.37 billion views on YouTube.
January 1, 20169 yr Author 37TH: ELLIE GOULDING- ON MY MIND #1 120PTS H202k7KfZL0 At #37 it's Ellie with her second and final apperance in the countdown with 'On My Mind' which in the music video features a bit of an ode to Sharon Stone in that scene from Basic Instinct for some reason it does for me in that white dress. A song which has been panned by some people. It's either a song you like or can't stand but I like it because this was an instant hit for me when I heard this. Yes I agree you think you know somebody when you've got them on my mind.
January 1, 20169 yr Author 36TH: KREPT & KONAN FT JEREMIH- FREAK OF THE WEEK #3 124PTS BigyqAiSiSQ At #36 we have 'Freak Of The Week' with Krept & Konan and Jeremih who makes his second apperance in the countdown. This making #3 in August.
January 1, 20169 yr Liking Somebody but never fully got into it really. LMLYD  one of Ellie's best songs and I certainly got the love for it like everyone else did. Another good effort from Justin with LY, especially loving the Baumann remix right now! :music: FMH is a tune :music: love Blank Space, Taylor's been incredible this year! :cheer: OMM was quite a poor single choice but it's still pretty good. Freak is pretty good not massive on it though.
January 2, 20169 yr Somebody, Five More Hours, Blank Space & Freak Of The Week are all great. Especially, Krept & Konan, they had a great year in 2015.
January 2, 20169 yr Love Yourself wins best ballad of 2015 so good to see it make an appearance. Good double Ellie showing but my pick there is Five More Hours :music:
January 2, 20169 yr Krept and Konan and Ellie Goudling :yahoo: :music: Edited January 2, 20169 yr by HarryEzra
January 3, 20169 yr Author Thank you for the comments so far. Back to the countdown: 35TH: THE WEEKND FT EMINEM- THE HILLS (REMIX) #4 128PTS X5Ee2LrVC9o At #35 we have The Weeknd featuring Eminem in this remix of 'The Hills' which charted at #4 back in October when the original charted at #22 in June. Great remix this and fantastic guest vocals here from Eminem.
January 3, 20169 yr Author 34TH: JESS GLYNNE- DON'T BE HARD ON YOURSELF #1 128PTS THeLVhU53ow This was to become Jess's 6th #1 on here. First which was 'Rather Be' back in January 2014 in just a base of 16 months. She has dominated my chart in the past two years with some quality tunes which you will see later in the countdown. This making #1 for 1 week back in August and spending 4 weeks in the Top5.
January 3, 20169 yr Author 33RD: PIA MIA FT CHRIS BROWN & TYGA- DO IT AGAIN #4 128PTS cNw8A5pwbVI This debut single from Pia Mia is next in this countdown with guest vocals from Chris Brown who makes his second and last apperance in the chart and also Tyga. It charted at #4 back in August and stayed there for 3 weeks. She is a very attractive woman and looking fine in the video. A proper R&B tune this from her.
January 3, 20169 yr Author 32ND: OLLY MURS FT DEMI LOVATO- UP #1 128PTS 29GWMT0GB6s Next at #32 its Olly Murs featuring Demi Lovato with 'Up' after spending a couple of weeks in the Top10 at the back end of 2014. It eventually climbed to #1 in the second chart of 2015 to become Olly's 4th #1 and Demi Lovato's first. A collaboration which worked very well indeed.
January 3, 20169 yr Author 31ST: GALANTIS- PEANUT BUTTER JELLY #2 132PTS 4jBDnYE1WjI Before this song came out. I thought peanut butter jelly was this: http://www.vintank.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/peanut-butter-jelly-sandwich.png Now thanks to Galantis. I think of it as this song which charted at #2 on here in September. Although this is probably not everyone's cup of tea. I love this record this and the music video inspired in a supermarket. That's never happened to me when I've been to Morrisons by the way.
January 4, 20169 yr The Hills & Do It Again are both amazing. Eminem is back on form on the Hills Remix, although I do like his recent output The Hills is certainly the best thing he's done for a while.
January 4, 20169 yr Jess Glynne, Pia, Olly/Demi and especially PBJ :music: great songs just missing out in your top 30. Hope the tunes continue well into the top 30 Mack
