Some slight inaccuracies because the scrobbler broke for a couple of weeks, but I tried to add in those missing scrobbles from the twitter log, and some songs would have had multiple versions, but for the most part it accurate.

So many great songs they've heavily supported there. Uptown Funk, All Cried Out, FourFiveSeconds, Trap Queen, See You Again, Cheerleader, Lean On, Earned It, Bloodstream, Say Something, Gravity, Freak Of The Week, Runnin', Can't Feel My Face. 2015 had lots of great chart hits.

interesting that they played Make Me Feel Better so much but it didn't do too brilliantly in the chart. I imagine commercial radio didn't give it much time of day which would explain the chart performance -_-
Surprised Rae Sremmurd isn't in that list

With which song? They played both "No Type" and "This Could Be Us" to death

Here are the top 40 most supported songs on Radio 1 in 2015.

'How Deep Is Your Love' appears to be suspiciously missing from that list. For a song that spent 10 weeks on the A-list (second only to 'Love Me Like You Do') and still gets played fairly regularly, I find it quite hard to believe it wouldn't be in the Top 40? I know it was released in the second half of the year, but then so was 'Shine' which spent less time on the playlist but still appears at #13. Could you have missed it by mistake?

It's showing up as 67, which I agree is odd and it looks like the peak (three of the weeks that the song was on A list) were when Radio 1 had an outage with the scrobbles, as explained in the post, so not really my mistake but Radio 1's. With that taken into account it's probably nearing the top 10. I tried to up weigh some of the songs that were during this time but that song was so far down the list I didn't even notice it! It's just 3/4 weeks for the whole year missing though.

^^ Yeah, that would explain it.

In slight contrast to the above list, here are the songs which spent the longest on Radio 1's playlist in 2015.

12 weeks:

Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do

10 weeks:

The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face

Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love

9 weeks:

Adele - Hello

Taylor Swift feat. Kendrick Lamar - Bad Blood

Ed Sheeran & Rudimental - Bloodstream

Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself

Jess Glynne - Hold My Hand

Years & Years - King

Years & Years - Shine

Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean?

David Guetta feat. Emeli Sandé - What I Did For Love

8 weeks:

Rihanna feat. Kanye West & Paul McCartney - FourFiveSeconds

James Bay - Hold Back The River

Little Mix - Black Magic

Foo Fighters - Congregation

Sigala - Easy Love

Kygo feat. Conrad - Firestone

Disclosure feat. Sam Smith - Omen

Ellie Goulding - On My Mind

Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth - See You Again

Jason Derulo - Want To Want Me

One Direction - Drag Me Down

Sigma feat. Ella Henderson - Glitterball

Tinie Tempah feat. Jess Glynne - Not Letting Go

Sam Smith - Writing's On The Wall

(In case anyone's wondering, Uptown Funk isn't included because it was added in early December but FTR it was on the playlist for 9 weeks).

ToTD's in the first proper week in January are always Sound Of 20// nominees aren't they?

Yes it has been the last two years :)

I'm looking forward to getting back to normal sorta. Wanna hear some 2016 music please :)

It would be nice if Bieber can be left in 2015, but that's not going to happen! :P

Lol be prepared for at least two more top 10 singles from him this yr I'd say!

Looks like 'Cheerleader' and 'Heartbeat Song' are the only two from that top 40 that didn't make the A-list, if my memory's correct. That's great for Kelly, not too different from 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' which only made the B-list but seemed to be one of their most played songs back in 2012. Very pleased to see that!

I know it's not too surprising because it's Adele but I wouldn't have predicted 'Hello' so high as it's so recent. Other than that, I'm glad to see Charli XCX there as I wasn't sure how much support she'd get at this time last year, after 'Break The Rules' bombed.

New playlist is up, listing Louisa and Justin as new again. Craig David, France's and Panic seem to be added this week, not last. With Kygo, Martin and 1D up to B (though Infinity is still listed).
