COMMENTARY
We get our fifth top 20 hit of the year with BUNT. and Leah Haywood's 'On My Way', also our 3rd highest finishing entry of the year so far behind our two top 10s. The Avicii inspired song comes two years after we sent him to our anniversary contest with 'Dear Boy' and actually finished higher than that did, also making this our landmark 70th main contest entry, though we'll save the festivities for the big SEVEN-FIVE where we will be recycling a familiar S DNLD artiste (take a guess!).

It is our third song to finish in 12th following Flume's 'Insane' in BJSC 52 (a then-personal best) and Laurel's 'Fire Breather' in BJSC 64 (a then-matching of our personal best). We did get up to 2nd in the leaderboard at one point but that sadly (expectedly) wasn't to last, but 12th is still a great position and better than we predicted.

This month we're re-introducing Yolanda Be Cool & Dcup to the Buzzjack audience, who you may remember from #1 single 'We No Speak Americano'. They're back with the groovy 'Afro Nuts' which dates from 2010 and samples the reggaeton hit 'Frikitona' by Plan B (the Puerto Rican duo, not the British singer/rapper).

so, sad to say our song has now become our worst performing to date. we were expecting to DNQ with this (hence why we saved it for after we beat our own qualification streak) but not this badly, for one of our faves of the decade. :(

we started the South Danaelanda era at the bottom with our lowest position yet, so it makes sense to finish it here. we do not wish to tarnish the good name and legacy of S DNLD any further so following the Christmas break and TBO series we will be returning in 2019 under a new guise... to be revealed. (to clarify, we are not leaving the contest but there will be a rebrand).

under S DNLD we made our way to the very top whilst also achieving two spin-off winners and achieving multiple top 10s, with two long runs of qualifiers separated by a solitary DNQ. we've been super happy with our success and grateful for every vote, but of course this cannot last forever, and with this flop we return to square one again. we may not have as many hits in the future but we will continue to send our favourite tunes and represent the dance bloc well.
