Stitches at 0.87 now, highest it's been

just realised Sigala are at #4, thought they were low top 10 last time I checked...

Jack Garrat #39 with Breathe Life... not the massive effect I was expecting...

Amy Winehouse at #42 with Back to Black (59p)

A very large percentage of the people I know watched Amy's C4 screening last night and it's been talked about a lot, so I'm not surprised to see two of her songs getting boosts in the top 100 from it.

I still need to get round to watching it, been putting it off for months now!

Fantastic to see the Amy documentary boosting a few of her classics, as I said in the movies forum yesterday it is such a fantastic and heartbreaking documentary and I'd highly recommend to watch it if you haven't seen it already

I expect Jack Garret will get a big boost from his Brits Performance, but I'd expect him to be more of an album seller than a single one anyway!

but with all the news about him winning sound of, making low top 40 in itunes is not very promising

agree on the Amy documentary, a must-watch, best movie of 2016

but what's the story behind Secret Love Song? Surprised Little Mix don't have a writing credit but Derulo does... it's not very normal that the featured artist is a cowriter but not the main act

Does an artist winning the 'Sound Of' normally get a big boost on itunes? I don't remember Years & Years getting a massive boost with 'Desire' after winning the 'Sound of 2015'....although 'King' shot to Number 1 a few months later!

Also 59p so it could climb more.

Desire only climbed from mid top 20's to high top 20's the day after winning SO2015.

Not sure but the DJ on heart said Jason wrote his section when he was having an affair.

It's been said in this thread before, but Sigala is actually just one person. Surprised to see it back up as high as #4 too though - I thought it was going to be a short-lived follow-up to "Easy Love" but it's actually doing really well. First track on the new Ministry of Sound, 'Go Hard or Go Home' album too (that version is up to #90) - so it's getting some more sales from that too :)

Shawn now 0.88, maybe #1 really is in sight the week after next :o A-list airplay kicks in on Monday too!
Mendes needs more streams, Stitches is doing over 200K a day on Spotify and Love Yourself is still doing over 400K, so practically double streams

The song is co-written by Tich, and I presume it was planned to be on her debut album which has seen been cancelled as she performed it on her tour a couple of years ago:

This also suggests that Jason didn't write his verse as from what I can tell, Tich sings the same lyrics here that Jason does. Perhaps Jason made a couple of changes or wrote his middle 8 section himself, I haven't cross checked the Tich and Little Mix versions yet but Jason's input is much less than you'd believe I think.

Go Tich! :cheer:

'Stitches' is actually growing on me now lol ~ think I was a bit too quick to write it off. There were many worse #1s last year.

OMG Tich! I remember her, what does she do now?

She's signed to Universal Music Publishing now working as a songwriter!

Interesting.. they've obviously just given him a writing credit to sweeten the deal. It's not like he needs to sing with Little Mix.
