January 11, 201610 yr Btw, is Bowie American? Yeah, 7 weeks is still a great chart run at 1 - the same as Wannabe! So she doesn't really need anymore. No lol born in Brixton, London. Lived a lot of his life in Berlin and New York tho!
January 11, 201610 yr I don't think there is a single-disc Nothing Has Changed - the shortest version is the double LP, then there's the double CD (which seems to be the main version) and the triple CD. As far as I know though, as long as all the tracks on the shortest version are on the others they can be combined.

Here it is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nothing-Changed-Da...ing+has+changed The fact there's limited stock left suggests it's not actually that popular and stores prefer to stock the double LP/CD and triple CD.
January 12, 201610 yr There is almost certain to be some tribute to Bowie at the Brits I can confirm that Steps, Tina Cousins, Cleopatra, B*witched and Billie Piper are rehearsing their Bowie Brits medley tomorrow...
January 12, 201610 yr So a posthumous top two :( ...by two artists with the same birthday, which was the first day of this chart week!
January 12, 201610 yr I think Joseph may like this - David Bowie also started the #longhairdontcare campaign back in 1964. m5zxeLwUSdk
January 12, 201610 yr Yeah there's bound to be a big Bowie tribute at the BRITS. Forgive me if I've missed someone out, but he's surely the most successful/inspirational British act ever along with The Beatles?
January 12, 201610 yr that 1CD version of Nothing Has Changes is an Australian import. Not UK. The UK version has the 2CD and 3CD versions Edited January 12, 201610 yr by Bjork
January 12, 201610 yr Yeah there's bound to be a big Bowie tribute at the BRITS. Forgive me if I've missed someone out, but he's surely the most successful/inspirational British act ever along with The Beatles? I'd say you were probably right - I can't think of another British artist having the effect that this is happening . Though a massive name, I always thought of Bowie to be slightly more popular with the more indie groups, rather than in mainstream music, but this has totally proved me wrong.
January 12, 201610 yr I'd say you were probably right - I can't think of another British artist having the effect that this is happening . Elton John? George Michael? Adele? Chris Martin/Coldplay? Rod Stewart? Tom Jones? Paul McCartney?? And a lot more....
January 12, 201610 yr Elton John? George Michael? Adele? Chris Martin/Coldplay? Rod Stewart? Tom Jones? Paul McCartney?? And a lot more.... Elton John and George Michael would have big effects I'm sure (though I can't see George Michael having same effect as various Beatles or Bowie). Paul McCartney is part of the Beatles who were already mentioned and Adele doesn't need to die to have a similar affect on the charts.
January 12, 201610 yr Author Elton John? George Michael? Adele? Chris Martin/Coldplay? Rod Stewart? Tom Jones? Paul McCartney?? And a lot more.... If you looking at great British music icons you have missed Cliff Richard, but I guess he is not that big now. I just hope David Bowie gets used on the Royal Mail stamp set Music Greats later in the year which they are releasing on 7 July
January 12, 201610 yr Author On a different note, I think Heroes could just make it to #1, media coverage and big tabloid news at the moment, all the front covers of the papers feature David Bowie, and with the track making more progress on Spotify, it could just get there, JB sales weren't that great last week, close to 80k, he probably have dropped off a bit with all media coverage concentrating on David Bowie, not forgetting the 3 day lag. I guess we have to wait till Friday to find out.
January 12, 201610 yr For that it has to go WAAAY higher than it is in iTunes. We'll see if Stitches/Love Yourself are pushed to 0.5 combined.

January 12, 201610 yr Elton John? George Michael? Adele? Chris Martin/Coldplay? Rod Stewart? Tom Jones? Paul McCartney?? And a lot more.... Elton, definitely. As much as I am not a fan, I could see there being a huge reaction to Robbie Williams.
