So... what's next after we achieved a #1? Any other singles/videos and more tour announcements? What about remixes?

Can we give the genre de zona remix a miss for a while, while your enthusiasm is great I'm tired of seeing so many of your posts mentioning it.

I'd go for pushing 'Stop Me from Falling' for a bit, then releasing another single in July/August (and not bothering to promote it much, since I highly doubt there's gonna be any effect for that) and then releasing a Jack Savoretti collab for Q4 with many performances, as it's a super lovely album selling song. If everything's played right it is going to sell low key until Q4 and hopefully get some extra Christmas sales through 'Music's Too Sad Without You'.

I want 'Music's Too Sad Without You' as the next single. It's got a lovely summer night tone to it and, as you say, is bound to sell the album well. It would work well as an era-closing single, but it's too good to just be sitting on and I think it's important to help the album sell as soon as possible.

I thought 'A Lifetime to Repair' had a strong single quality about it, but it's quite similar to 'Stop Me From Falling'. The title track seems to be one that's getting a lot of love and I can sense that being pushed as a single at some point. 'Sincerely Yours' would also work too.

On another point, I've just watched the Graham Norton Show episode that Kylie was on and I was a little disappointed we didn't get to hear much from Kylie. There was bits and bobs throughout but Graham didn't get round to interviewing her specifically until the end and it felt like just a few minutes. She looked fab and presented herself so well; really warm, funny, smiley.

I know I'm biased as a fan but Kylie always comes across so down to earth and friendly in all her interviews and tv appearances. She doesn't give off the oh I'm a celeb vibe, she gives more of a vibe of an artist just starting out and getting their first big interview and I love that about her.

I agree about the jack savoretti duet it def has the sound of an album selling track and it's very worthy of a single release.

She wasn't feeling great I don't think on Notton and simply wanted to sell album and sing etc. Golden would be perfect for the third single to be released week of her birthday. ......

When Jewel and Sheryl Crow made country albums, their singles charted at Billboard country charts. I wonder if BMG might send a Kylie tune to country stations in the States, but I don't know if "Dancing" or "Stop Me From Falling" would do well. What would be the best "Golden" song for country radio?

Sales info from Australia are in:

Kylie’s ‘Golden’ clocked up 8,745 sales units this week made up of 5,894 physical discs, 2606 digital downloads but only 245 sales allocated towards streaming. Yes, streaming accounted for less than 5% of the total sales.

‘Golden’ was 3,700 units ahead of the number two disc ‘There Is More’ by Hillsong Worship.

It means Golden will drop out of top ten next week...

I don't think so, look at the rest of the Top 5:

Ed Sheeran has had a consistent run on the chart but even Ed is doing minimal streams compared to overall sales. Ed’s 4,584 sales gave him the number three poll position including around 25% sales for streams or 1,265 streaming sales.

Of course, when we talk “streaming sales” no money is exchanged for what is called “the sale”. It is purely a calculation made up across 150-200 listens which can be from multiple people. One streaming sale is exactly like you and 150 of your mates chipping in to buy a record and then all borrowing it off each other.

We can drill further down the chart to show that Australian listening habits are not dependent on streaming.

At number 4 ‘The Greatest Showman’ sold 3819 units, 1,130 were included for streaming.

At number 5, ‘Revamp: The Songs of Elton John & Bernie Taupin’ sold a total of 3,573 units, 174 were allocated for streaming.

Golden holding up well....

Should stay top 5 I think this week. maybe around 11k sales, will know more this afternoon.

It’s on 6.6k at #3 today. It looks like George Ezra is likely to overtake but she should still comfortably clear 10k!

Seems like good sales in Australia - up on the 8,166 copies sold by Kiss Me Once in its first week, at least.

Decent second week sales for the UK too - on track for about ~14k this week? Would be a 70% drop in sales which is more than previous second week drops for Kylie but okay considering the multi-formats and the sales climate.

I think Joe may have made a typo - it's actually on 6.9k. Currently at #3 but doesn't look like it will drop beyond #4.
