I'm starting to have serious doubts about the new album. I'm dreading that I could end up finding it worse than kiss me once. I know I have to wait until I hear the music but I really want a Kylie album that I honestly enjoy rather than buying an album to keep my kylie collection complete.
I don't even think Kiss Me Once was a bad album at all. It was just all rather safe and Kylie-by-numbers just done better in the past. Songs like 'Into the Blue', 'Feels So Good' and 'Sleeping with the Enemy' though are among my favourite Kylie tracks.

I think people need to calm down and stop hating on the album before we've even heard anything. None of us know what these songs will sound like or even if they'll make the final cut.
Not here for a country album, giving me Joanne teas. Otherwise, really excited for new Kylie music!

At most I see her "country" stuff ending up like Taylor's Red era stuff, i.e pop with a slight country hint.

Something like this would be acceptable too though

The album isnt a country album, she was just in Nashville writing with some songwriters. The album is sad to have a 90s dance feel, and the influence is said to be the DNA remix of Toms Diner.

Album looking like either a Q4, or spring 2018 release. See below from Kylie informant...

"It MIGHT be spring again now. Like I keep saying, try not to get bogged down by expectation. Everything is still up in the air. But be encouraged. They’re not letting the album out until, at least they perceive it’s amazing. Obviously fans will be the final judge, but there’s no arbitrary deadline which sacrifices what they think is quality this time. If they finish it in time for November great. If it’s not ready, it’s March. In which case, we’ll probably get a single or two this year. She’s back in London now, and immediately into writing sessions.

I’m glad they’re adopting this tact. Body Language, X and KMO were all rushed to meet specific release dates, and each one would have benefitted a great deal from a few months extra to hone the direction. Fever was rushed too, but they got lucky with those amazing singles.

Arguably Light Years and Impossible Princess are her best albums. They both took quite some time. Kylie’s at her best when she’s inspired and not under time pressure."

I like the thought of getting more than one pre-album single tbh.

I would like the same. Ideally the album would be released the week after the release of the 2nd single.

Working with DJ Fresh and Karen Poole.

From Wiki (with regards to Karen Poole):

Kylie Minogue – "Red Blooded Woman", "Chocolate" and "Sweet Music" from the album Body Language; "Heart Beat Rock", "No More Rain", "Wow" and "Nu-Di-Ty" from the album X; "Timebomb"; "Fine" and "Sparks", from the album Kiss Me Once; "White December", "Christmas Isn't Christmas 'Til You Get Here" and "Cried Out Christmas" from the album Kylie Christmas.

Should be good!

From the OCC:

Kylie Minogue's new album is "super positive" and inspired by a break-up

16 October 2017 | By Rob Copsey

The pop superstar is expected to return with new music early next year.

Kylie Minogue has opened up about about her new album, revealing it is inspired by "a little bit of heartbreak".

The pop superstar also described her upcoming collection as "super positive and inspiring" in a new interview with The Sun following her split from fiance Joshua Sasse earlier this year.

“In the last year, there’s been some of that, but we bounce back," she said. "Most of it is super positive and inspiring, as a note to self as much as anything else. I’m feeling great right now."

Kylie has been recording her latest album in Nashville, a process she described as "cathartic", adding: "It was good. In the studio it’s a slightly weird concept to be spending seven, eight, nine hours in a room with people sometimes you don’t know. If you’re working with good people it’s the perfect place to deal with stuff."

After spending much of 2017 recording new music, the star revealed much of the album came together during her two-week trip to Nashville.

"I did a lot of work on the album before that but Nashville had a profound effect on me. The songs are very storytelling and story-based. It was so great to do things a little bit differently.”

The newspaper reports Kylie will release the record's first single in January 2018 with album to follow shortly after, while the singer insisted: "There will be shows next year for sure. I can’t wait to perform again.”

Kylie has notched up an impressive 15 Top 10s on the Official Albums Chart in her 30-year career, five of which have reached Number 1.

Great to finally here some news on when we can expect new music! I'm quite happy with January 2018 - gives us something to look forward to after the busy Christmas period for music.

I would rather her to get into a promotion campaign to push the first single in Jan, released the second single in Feb, the third in March, then an album and a tour.
