Sleep No More was another divisive episode due to it's different storytelling technique. The whole story was told through the style of found-footage, aka Hollywood's most overdone concept but, in this context, I thought it worked quite well and it was strange to see the Doctor and Clara staring into the camera so much. I thought the monsters were great and I loved the concept that the person sitting at home might also become a monster having watched it. Alas, not everyone enjoyed the episode and it even received the show's lowest Appreciation Index since Series 2's 'Love % Monsters'. It also has the accolade of the lowest rating episode of the show since it returned in 2005. Oops.

22nd. In the Forest of the Night (9 votes | 31.03%)

In the Forest of the Night comes in last place! The episode featured a forest covering the entire world for reason, only for it to magically disappear, leaving no trace at all. It was definitely a fairy-tale type story but one that did not work at all in the Doctor Who world. The threat wasn't there, and so some Zoo animals had to be written in, and, overall, it became a filler episode. It's my least favourite of the two series by far so well done everyone. :clap3:

There will be another double elimination so you have two votes each.

Glad one of my choices is out :D I might have voted for the Forest episode after this round, in which I am going for Listen (which I am choosing after forgetting how underwhelming it was in the first round, which I should've gone for instead of Deep Breath but no harm done :kink: )

For Series 9 I'm choosing Last Christmas. Its comparisons to Amy's Choice was quite fun, with all the "is this a dream?" scenes. But like with a lot of the Christmas specials it's not really in contention with the rest of the series.

kill the moon. It literally laid an egg. What a stupid stupid stupid plot. You can come up with explanations for most sci fi/fantasy plots, but you can't explain away the devastating sudden effect of there being no moon suddenly on Planet Earth, and then suddenly another moon with mass appearing from nowhere. Unless you bring in "It's Magic!" that is....

Ridiculous!

Kill The Moon started off with a lot of promise but just didn't deliver much for me.

The Girl Who Died as well just because this was the weakest 2 parter of series 9 in my opinion!
