September 26, 200618 yr Author But surely with a Greatest Hits, you know what you're getting? I know, but I got all the singles  on a disc made it myself before I bought the album
September 26, 200618 yr I know, but I got all the singles  on a disc made it myself before I bought the album So why was the GH a disappointing buy then?
September 26, 200618 yr Author So why was the GH a disappointing buy then? Well I usually buy all recods by the minogue sisters  , to keep up with my record collection ^_^
September 26, 200618 yr I only buy an album after hearing a few singles usually - then I know I'll love it and make the effort to go and get it. That used to be my rule but it stopped working. I loved all the singles from Back To Bedlam, Breakaway and Employment but was really disappointed by the albums. (Breakaway grew on eventually though.) Edited September 26, 200618 yr by Tim
September 26, 200618 yr The new tracks are not great. I love them all except for the putrid 'Good Times'.
September 26, 200618 yr I love them all except for the putrid 'Good Times'. I was playing devil's advocate. I don't mind the new ones. It's the pre-Girl songs that I always skip. They're so cheap.
September 26, 200618 yr Beyonce - B-Day there are only some good songs on there, what, 2 or 3? I havnt listened to it much
September 26, 200618 yr I've been pretty lucky with my quality control in buying new albums, but there are three duds that stands out: 3rd worst: Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium (mediocrity all the way through, very poor compared to Californication & By The Way) 2nd worst: Gnarls Barkley - St Elsewhere (interesting sounds fail to hide the lack of tunes & melodies in this album. I must have been "Crazy" when I bought this). Worst: Lily Allen - Alright, Still (I knew LDN from it's original limited release; Smile & heard the album track Littlest Things & figured this was a good album, due to all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, with perhaps the exception of the track Alfie, the rest of the album is bland, uninspiring crud!)
September 26, 200618 yr in my opinion christina's back to basics is appalling! it is such a shame coz her last 2 were superb. not worth the cd its recorded on either. dannii's greatest hits isnt far behind!!!!!!!!!
September 26, 200618 yr Gnarls Barkley - St Elsewhere. :( And me - what a disappointment after the amazing single - :(
September 26, 200618 yr I bought Scissor Sister's album yesterday, it's okay so I won't call it the worst. I think my least favourite one is Christina Aguilera's or Justin Timberlake's. The biggest surprise of the year though is Paris Hilton's album, which is pretty good.
September 26, 200618 yr Carrie's album is AMAZING! Maybe if you want a deacent album you should listen to it more than once ;) I'd probably agree with Rihanna ... there are some amazing songs, but on the whole it's not all that. Also, Chemistry, Girls Aloud, SO much filler ... if that counts as this year :|
September 26, 200618 yr I think so far it has Justin's. Still early days and it might grow on me, but a lot of it sounds the same. <_<
September 27, 200618 yr The biggest surprise of the year though is Paris Hilton's album, which is pretty good. AGREED. I'm loving that album atm  I only bought it out of curiousty as well
