Yeah a remix does not equate to a credit for a particular artist. Cheerleader doesn't count as a #1 for Felix Jaehn, and Spectrum doesn't count as a #1 for Calvin Harris. If it were "Cheerleader (feat. Felix Jaehn)", it'd be a different story.

Robin Schulz was credited on Prayer In C as an artist in the UK :heehee: the artist credit here was "Lillywood & Robin Schulz", so it counts for him (Waves, however, does not).

Rihanna to be cursed with yet another official #2 then? This will be the sixth of her career. Eighth if you include features.
Yeah it's not really a curse when you consider how many singles she has released  If she had only released 6 singles then it would be different
Still after people branding ANTi and Work 'flops' number two is relatively impressive

it is quite sad that people will write off anything Rihanna does as a flop if it doesn't go to #1. 'Work' is performing REALLY well. 'ANTI' isn't doing that badly (yes, it's an underperformance, but she's taken a long break and gave a million copies of it for free)
I wouldn't really call it a curse when she's had several #1s too :kink:

8, including features, spending a total of 24 weeks at #1

Haha yes I remember I used to say Calvin Harris had his #2 curse for a while with Bounce, Feels So Close and We'll Be Coming Back until he kept getting several #1s after

SASH had the curse, not Calvin or Rihanna :D

I'm not writing her off as a flop. I'm one of her biggest fans. I just think that regardless of how many number 1s you've had, it must be frustrating coming second best so many times in your career.

2005 {02} x2 Pon De Replay

2006 {02} x2 SOS

2006 {02} x2 Unfaithful

2007 {01} x10 Umbrella (f/ Jay-Z)

2008 {01} x2 Take A Bow

2008 {02} x1 Live Your Life (w/ TI)

2009 {01} x1 Run This Town (w/ Jay-Z & Kanye West)

2009 {02} x1 Russian Roulette

2010 {02} x2 Rude Boy

2010 {02} x4 Love The Way You Lie (w/ Eminem)

2010 {01} x2 Only Girl (In The World)

2010 {01} x1 What's My Name (f/ Drake)

2011 {01} x6 We Found Love (f/ Calvin Harris)

2012 {01} x1 Diamonds

2013 {01} x1 The Monster (w/ Eminem)

Seems like the #2 "curse" was a lot more apparent in her early years as she hasn't had a #2 hit since 2010.

It is considering Anti peaked at a disappointing 7 and is heading out of the Top 10 at an alarming rate.

Only a decent Brits performance can reverse the decline (let's hope she is not ill as per Grammys)

She's turned up in London with Drake so she's performing.

She turned up for Grammys as well, just didn't Perform (she was well enough for dress rehearsal though).

Don't worry, she has found time to celebrate her Birthday despite cancelling several performances recently.

I don't see why should Rihanna be extremely bitter? Everyone was ready for the album to "flop" with an extremely messy release and a free download. Single is doing very well and is probably going to end up in the year-end top-40/20. The next single will keep up the momentum. And she's more of a singles artist anyway. Maybe it's not a 6 weeks at #1 domination but no one can go quite a lot years into career and span out only epic numbers?
