Urgh can Elle King please stop, I seriously hoped this would bomb in the charts, It's sad to see this doing so well when 'Stand By You' is struggling to even go top 40 on iTunes.

102. Selena Gomez - Hands To Myself

Can this be one of those songs that gets a random and lengthy iTunes boost soon, please?

It's not a very good song though, is it?

I really wish that Fast Car remake wasn't doing so well. The original should forever be the highest-peaking version, sadly it looks as if that is going to change.

I'm guessing Radio 1 will start giving it rotation pretty soon, it's been doing well enough on Spotify so I think it's got some sort of hit potential (and it would be nice if it lived up to that, this song's a huge improvement on Same Old Love :D). No doubts it'll be fairly big in the US though

Huh? Do you mean When the Bassline Drops or are you talking about the Marlon Roudette track that charted last year?

'When the Bassline Drops' of course. I was bearing Marlon in mind, as he had a similar sounding follow up to 'When the Beat Drops Out' and flopped.

The UK doesn't seem to have taken to Selena, in comparison to her immediate peers. Miley and Ariana have had two number one's, and Demi Lovato's on 5 top ten hits now. Selena's had two fleeting top tens and the rest have been low-peaking flops.

'Good For You's sold about 300k though, despite its #23 peak. Obviously the UK saw sense with 'Same Old Love' but I think 'Hands To Myself' could have potential to do what 'Good For You' did.

82. Sia - Unstoppable

87. Fleur East - More & More

96. G-Eazy ft. Bebe Rexha - Me, Myself & I

Hopefully all of these can hop up the charts at some point (though Sia is unlikely as an IG)

32. Lukas Graham - 7 Years

Looks like this could be headed for the top 20 on iTunes very soon. Hopefully atop 40 debut soon and top 10 after that :D

I'm not thinking 'Hands To Myself' has quite the hit potential of 'Good For You' but could scrape the 40 I think. It is a good effort but not on the same level.
Tiesto is #20 now, didn't realise he was climbing up too

It's at #51 on Spotify so it may miss the top 10

It's quite safely at #2 on iTunes so I very much doubt it will miss the top 10 :P

I reckon it will most likely end up at #6

It must be so odd for Tracy Chapman to see two separate dance covers of a song as deeply personal to her as 'Fast Car' connecting with the UK public 28 years after the original was released! Both new versions are decent on first listen but I'm glad if anything that they're directing a new generation to Tracy's masterpiece (currently at #76).
Was there any reason why Fast Car was remixed by at least three artists in a short amount of time? Like an anniversary of the original or something? Surely can't be coincidental :P

Where did the original peak at just for comparison?

Heldens in the top 40 already :cheer: hope that Eric Prydz track can continue climbing and Elle can get into the top 10 soon. Really want Rachel to get into the top 30 also :please:
