Is that a song that samples Glory Box/the song Glory Box samples I hear in the countdown at #28?

It samples Ike's Rap by Isaac Hayes, which was sampled by Portishead, although this song seems to sample Issac's vocals as well.

Thanks, me.

isn't Silento credited in the Dawin song?

Actually the original song doesn't have Silentó on it, it is just a remix, but we will credit him in our chart post.

In my opinion he adds nothing to the song btw.

Well that's just sad. And awful. Cheyenne was interesting (as far as he can go), this is horrible.

A number of nice fresh songs just missing the play zone for this as well, aww.

Yeah. I prefer the version without Silentó in it.

Biography

From the free-living enclave of Christiania in Copenhagen, Lukas Graham and his boys -- Mark "Lovestick" Falgren on drums, Kasper Daugaard on keys, and Magnus "Magnum" Larsson on bass -- crafted a combination of funky pop and R&B stylings, which made them popular in their home country of Denmark. With his soulful delivery and honest lyrics, Graham recounted tales of family strife, poor decisions, and the celebration of life, all inextricably entwined with his years spent in Christiania. The young Graham's musical influences ranged from classical -- gained during his childhood experiences with the Copenhagen Boys' Choir -- to the Beatles and the Stones, as well as the Prodigy and Dr. Dre, whose Chronic 2001 was one of the most influential albums for Graham. Despite a less-privileged childhood, his parents were strong role models and much of that love was reflected in his heartfelt songs, like "Mama Said," "7 Years," and "Moving Alone." In early 2012, he released his first album, a self-titled effort that included "Drunk in the Morning," which went on to become a hit throughout Europe. Once they received more international exposure, they were signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2013. A second self-titled album -- nicknamed the "Blue Album" -- was released in late 2015. - iTunes

Chart history - Top 100 (Year peak title):

2015 24 7 Years -1-

'Get Ugly' does sound like he's trying to recreate 'Wiggle' but making it more pop. It really isn't as good though imo.

Lukas Graham getting a play today  this is such a lovely song!

Is 1 million streams on Spotify really that impressive?

I think he meant 100 million streams, because its current worldwide streams total is 107 million

7 Years is the opposite of what I usually like, but it's such a beautiful song.
amazing song!!!!! love the story telling in the song, that's pretty good!!
His dad wanted him to find a wife when he was 11 years old?
Interesting that Cheyenne totally flopped and Get Ugly is almost immediately a hit :o

Injustice is the word I would use, even if I am enjoying 'Get Ugly' as a guilty pleasure.

I really like the lyrics :D

First listen. It's alright actually. I'll see how I feel about it in a few weeks time.
Well, on first listen, 7 Years is a really lovely song. That's the sort of thing I like to see becoming a hit. Time will tell if I feel the same 4 months down the line, but for now, it's very welcome.
7 Years is actually really gorgeous, love how it builds towards the end into old age, the lyrics are really nice.
