I hope DJ Fresh can make top 40. It's because people can't be bothered to stream that song yet they can stream songs which have been out for ages

Or maybe it's because casual spotify users aren't aware of the song because it's not on the big spotify playlists or the spotify chart.

I WANT TO KNOW what is the lead for Coldplay and if they can be number 1 on Friday :(

You do realise that the #1 song on Spotify at the moment has been out for 9 days.

DJ Fresh will miss the Top 40 and I'm glad quite frankly - a big 'fuck off' to Ministry of Sound and their pathetic release strategy. :D

They need to stop with these stupid release strategies. They should release it to download within a week of releasing it to radio

I think the main reason for Dj Fresh's failure is that no1curr because the song doesn't stand out. It wouldn't have done any better as an on air sale.
Yeh it sounds like every other DJ fresh release for the past 6 years and so he's not living up to his name any longer - a new Sigala track for instance would do much better held back because they are flavour of the month chart wise but I still agree held back releases in this day and age is a ridiculous tactic.

This is very true. DJ Fresh has done so much better in the past.

This song below is a lot better by his standards and should do well in the chart:

^^^ I wouldn't even be able to tell that involved DJ Fresh had I not read it, though. It's all Sigala sound.
I wonder if there is any sign of Fleur East and her complete flop.. I mean.. er, single ? Obviously not in the Top 200 but y'know, maybe Top 300 ?
Shes just shot her music video, promo starts next week, so maybe it will climb up the charts then. Its barely had any radio play yet, the impact date is weeks away and to call it a flop when the campaign for it hasnt started is a bit unfair.

All of a sudden a heldback release strategy is pathetic? No one cared 2/3 years ago, just because most have switched to OAOS doesn't mean all labels have to.

In a sea of OA/OS releases, it does feel like cheating really if only a select few do held-back, gives them an instant advantage for a higher peak while other OA/OS releases, which are bigger hits, get called flops just for not peaking high.

Oh I know, but generally speaking it is basically a cheat to get a high peak in this day and age (it wasn't so bad when everyone did it). If this goes top 40, it'll only have made it there through this held-back strategy (and it'll also be a miracle at this rate but even so).
