Also; saying you only like the song because of its production and collaborater, is just a low key way of saying you're a hater.

Not really. You don't have to be a hater to be indifferent about someone.

Unless you define a hater as anyone who isn't a die hard fan.

I like it, I like that she's doing something different this time round.. Private show sounds like it's going to be better though!
Let me explain why I said what I said. If you are saying her vocals are weak here, then you literally have to hate everything she has done since 2008, vocal wise. Which is fine, but, that would make you a hater.

I'm not trying to say it's not okay to enjoy the song for its production or G-Eazy because they are both brilliant.

Not entirely true tho. You can find someone's voice unpleasant to listen to, but great production can make that less prominent, as can a feature.

E.G. I dislike Demi's voice on Cool For The Summer but the production is so great that I do enjoy the song

Really liking the track! I especially love the guitar in the background. G-Eazy is useless though...

I think Katy Perry will be her biggest competition, why did both have to release at the same time? Ugh

Yes.

I guess too it's hard to understand after her speak vocals that make up the majority of her previous releases over the last decade.

So, if you don't like her voice here... When did you ever like it? I mean the only era with better vocals is maybe 'Baby' and 'Oops'. But, even then MM's vocals are better than some of the vocals on 'In The Zone'. I also, love her higher register. I'M ALSO A CRAZY STAN THAT'S REALLY TRYING TO ACCEPT wrong OTHER OPINIONS.

At least I identify to my Stan symptoms :drama:

Because Katy Perry wants to become enemies with every other relevant female pop star.

Well Britney was meant to release next week. It was rush released because of leaks. So this was probably always originally Katy's week.

I could see them releasing the video next Friday along with implementing ads on iTunes.

Perhaps never but that wouldn't make me a hater.

And to answer the question honestly - my favourite Britney vocals are the middle 8 of Everytime.

I CANNOT EVEN BE ON THIS FORUM, TBH. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ALL THESE AMAZING THINGS TO HAPPEN FOR OVER 12 YEARS. AND I AM A BASKET CASE.

And that was just the rehearsal. I'm going to go check on my life insurance policy because I'm deceased. :)

The production slays. The chorus is fantastic. I hope this is the direction she will be going for the new album.

Oh and... Katy who?

OKAY THIS IS WITH MY STAN GLASSES COMPLETELY OFF.

SHE IS KILLING IT. Like, the billboard choreography looks simple AF in comparison to this. She is really putting in 110% and it is SHOWING. Oh my God. I'm just glad the lethargic Britney from 2011 is gone! I THINK SHE DID IT AGAIN.

Who produced this?

Also - was just going through some of the comments on youtube,

Are people so easily manipulated that if supporters of Katy Perry's Rise start slagging off Make Me then supporters of Make me automatically start slagging off Rise purely out of misguided loyalty.

The most common word seems to be "haters", "slay".

This didn't happen when Radiohead released their surprise new song.
