At least the song is up to #68 on iTunes today!

I really hope radio picks up again after she's done some promotion and with the hype of the album pre order. Does anyone know of any other confirmed promotion. I know about JK tonight and the iheart festival. Also heard rumours of VMA's but not confirmed yet. Any TV or radio interviews confirmed in the USA?

My source has told me there's some sort of unleaked announcement tonight. No idea what though.

Okay thanks.

f***ING HOPEFULLY. Or at least announcing its coming out tomorrow at midnight.
Up to #34 combined on US iTunes with pre order for 'Glory' and single!

I really hope radio pay attention to that! Amazing effect from Kimmel and the pre-order!
This would be the perfect time to release the video. It could really give the song some legs and ignite a fire under the radio play.
#73, #223 and #1351 on UK iTunes - glad the album release date reveal has given a boost here too. I agree this would be the perfect time to release the video, the original or not, as I didn't expect her to be back in a better position after the song started falling.

The only worry I have is that the video is pretty unlikely to be anything close to attention-grabbing thanks to the reshoot and while that doesn't mean it won't have any impact at all, I think it's unlikely to be anywhere near the boost we'd expect with the LaChapelle cut. It'll boost the song somewhat, but I'm expecting the video to be pretty ignored and have little replay value, so I don't think it'll be song-saving or anything resembling that.

I know the LaChapelle version was looking to be a bit much but the controversy would have been really, really good for the performance of the song on all fronts and that's the sort of video that would have made it explode on iTunes. It's such a giant pity they couldn't find a way to make it work, because I think we'd be looking at a very different era if that video had worked out. I'll never get over them not being able to find a compromise.

I hope the video surprises me, but I really can't imagine it being anything close to an event.

^ Yeah, the LaChapelle version really could have been one of those career defining moments for Britney, if it was a bit controversial it could have even had the song up to #1 on US iTunes again. But I still expect the video help it somewhat, at least stay stable for a week. Also, it helps with billboard in America if there's a video for people to stream. Even Pretty Girls has 150 million views and I'm sure the first week's views helped the song stay top 30 on Billboard.

Spotify:

WW - #79 (+5) [601,288]

US - #69 (+1) [278,230]

So long as the video isn't complete safe and tame. I mean, the 'Pretty Girls' video makes me cringe so bad but at least, on that same token, there's something there that makes it 'worth' watching or, rather, that makes it memorable. I can remember my friends all talking about and re-playing the video.
Another thing to add: her team need to delete the single version of Make Me with haste!

I'm just wondering why that's important?

Just pre ordered the album!

The song is #11 combined on iTunes so if they delete the lower version, the higher version will get very close to the top 10 and if it manaes to keep up momentum, may enter the top 10 and get the top 10 effect.

It just means people have to buy one specific version of the song which puts it higher on iTunes, which equals accessibility and makes it easier for fickle radio stations to realise if a song's a hit.
