Jay it honestly makes this mess less distressing that our opinions are so aligned on this.

Can't they just do a clean and explicit release? :( The original video flows so well with the song and is a lot grander too! Clean edit for daytime TV etc... but explicit for those using Youtube and things to get it viral? I really don't get why they would approve of the original video treatment, finish it all and then suddenly decide "nah" so soon towards release? This video would've suited 'Private Show' SO much better, imo.

Having said all that, this is BY FAR the best she's looked in the best part of a decade! Seriously... WOW! *.*

I like the video, but I agree that it's not got the repeatability factor or anything in it to get people talking about it. I just about forgave them for the 'Perfume' mess up, but TWICE? IN A ROW?! AND FOR A LEAD SINGLE?! FUCK YOU RCA! :drama:

Me too!

I agree. This is the first time I've not watched a new Britney video on repeat. Even perfume got a few views in a row. I've watched this once and can't be bothered to watch it again. How's it doing on US itunes?
I actually still really like the 'Perfume' video! I just think a bit more context would've been nice, but the storyline would've got people watching and talking! But they play it TOO safe nowadays :(
Total disappointment. The label must release the original version ASAP.

Light green update. Hardly setting itunes on fire though.

OKAY IS THIS A MARKETING PLAN. WHY IS THE OTHER VIDEO MIRACULOUSLY LEAKING AT THE SAME TIME.

STAY TUNED LADIES. I KNOW A PR STUNT WHEN I SEE ONE.

I hope so Tyler. I swear this imposter video is 'Private Show' with 'Make Me' dubbed over it. :D

Katy Perry's video was also boring as hell (Although very beautifully shot), but at least the video matched the mood of the song and helped sell the song, which is what a music video should do.

The contrast of the video (which feels much more like something for Private Show) and the song here is rather jarring. It won't help sell the song very much at all because we have a sensual and intense song with giggling girls over the top of it. It's all very confused. Videos usually have immediate effect on US iTunes, big or small, but Make Me has had no effect really.

My partner just said the exact same thing. Hope you're right!!

Even if the other video isn't officially released, we are obviously getting it leaked sooner or later. If they actually came up with this as a promo stunt... I will SLEEP with Larry Rudolph. Because even if we get an (UNOFFICIAL) original video that's only gonna help the song even more, especially going into carpool karaoke, VMA's etc.
I love the album cover, tho.

I think it's safe to say we all wanted a work bitch... But, the current scene seems to be more geared to these kinds of videos.

Regardless. #teamworkbitch

I dont like it all, the lighting is off, the unecessary zoom in on her awkward expression, the hideous font.

I love the cover for the Make Me single, much better.

It's actually falling in the UK. :D

This isn't a publicity stunt guys, don't get your hopes up. If it was a stunt they wouldn't have used a still from the video as the album cover - they didn't have LaChapelle's art anymore so they threw something quick and shit together instead.

Maybe they'll release the original but it won't be because they intended to, it'll be because their hand was forced.

Yeah, there's no way it's a stunt. They got David involved because they knew he'd bring some fire. But some things happened and they ended up having to settle for mediocrity.

The sad thing is, the amount of money that looks like it went into the first one. Eek.

That video looks bad but it's believed by most people that she was joking. She was llaughing immediately before and after calling him that, which wouldn't make sense if she was actually pissed off.

Yeah I don't get serious vibes from that either. It sounds to be like she's joking? You can tell there's no replay value because the views stalled really early at half 1 million. There's not really any gifable moments.

I think we were all counting on the video a lot, but I think the song might be dead now and I'm quite sad about it.
