Hello and welcome to the final voting of the Buzzjack Movies Awards, celebrating the best in cinema of the last year. This will be the end step in finally identifying Buzzjack's favourites of 2015

The voting will be done by using the method that was the one used for BuzzOscars last year, where people vote for a top 2 and we look at the 2nd preference votes if there is a tie on 1st preference votes. So vote for your top 2 and order them, and you don't have to send your votes outside of your top 2! Hope that makes sense and please ask us if it doesn't :)

I have had an idea which is that we have commentaries wrote for all the Best Picture nominees so we can show our passion for why we think they deserve to be there and to persuade others to watch these interesting and fascinating movies! Please post in this thread which Best Picture nominee you would like to write a commentary for and PM me the commentary but post in this thread what film you want to write for so no film gets oversubscribed. We are going to have 2 people writing for each movie and the next post will show what movies are taken and what movies are available!

Also only choose 2 films for the moment!

I am also planning to host many Rabbit sessions which I'll post about more underneath!

Please send your votes to me by Friday 26th February 2016. The results will be presented on Saturday 27th February 2016 on a Buzzjack Oscar weekend!

Also send your votes to me (Ultraviolence1989) for this round

You can do 2 films maximum to start with

Over the next week and a bit, I will also be hosting sessions on Rabbit where we can watch Best Picture nominated movies and other movies that have quite a few nominations! Rabbit is a website where you can watch anything you want on this 'online internet browser' and quite a few of us have watched many movies on there over the past few months! You also don't need to sign up and can just join the room as a guest!

Tonight I will be watching Carol at about 12:30, if anyone wants to join me I'll post a link either here or in the Rabbit forum in the Lounge.

---------------------

Also can we get Kristen Stewart a win for Clouds Of Sils Maria  The movie is on Netflix so I highly suggest you check it out!

I wouldn't mind doing a commentary for Room but I'm not sure I'd it justice, I'll try though!

Some great noms in the end though, seen everything in the big categories apart from It Follows and Cloud of Sils Maria.

Seeing as Froot has opted for 'Avengers' I wouldn't mind doing some commentary for 'Big Hero 6' & 'Kingsman: The Secret Service'!

Lotti and myself will be watching It Follows at 10:30 so if anyone wants to join, pm me and I'll send you the link to the room  Hopefully a few people turn up as I'm sure It Follows is the least seen Best Picture nominee here!

Also if anyone else wants to do commentaries it'll be much appreciated

Link: https://rabb.it/r/ea2hmj

I'll do commentaries for It Follows & The Force Awakens if that's cool/the slots aren't full? ^_^

(I will be sending, might try and see a few more of the films before I do)

Done my votes, have actually seen every single movie nominated bar Sisters, Unfriended and Krampus :o

That's good going UV! I've not seen It Follows, Clouds of Sils Maria, Shaun the Sheep, The Duff or any of the horror noms (Josh the wuss)!

I'd recommend definitely trying to check out at least Clouds Of Sils Maria before the deadline but all 4 are terrific if you have time

Also a deadline change might mean this is moving a day earlier so make sure you get votes in!

New voting rules in first post :)

I'll update the list of people who have submitted nominations after I have recounted and please tell me if your name is still not on the list later :)

Also we still have quite a few spots for anybody who would like to write a commentary! All spaces on Brooklyn, Inside Out and It Follows are gone but there are spaces available on all the other films if anyone wants to write! It would be much appreciated  It would be nice to get 2 perspectives on each movie, but if not then 1 is still good enough for each! The only movie without anyone doing it is Mockingjay Part 2 so that would be a priority choice if anyone has seen it and enjoyed it

Oops for quadruple costing but just need to clarify something and make it clear as the last 3 voters have all done the same thing!

Please rank your choices 1 and 2 and not send two per category with no numbers as we don't know which one is your favourite and should be put down for first preference!

I'll hopefully get around to doing my write-ups for my chosen films tomorrow. Any idea how long you'd like them? Just a couple of sentences or a paragraph or as long as we'd like? ^_^

A paragraph would probably by ideal but if you can't think of enough to write or want to write more both are fine!

12 votes and deadline in 3 days, very tight results so far (especially in one category where we have 5 films in joint 1st) so remember to get your votes in everyone

  • Author

More votes please  Deadline in just over 24 hours!

For anyone doing write-ups, it would be nice to have them in by tomorrow evening but really if I have them by 3PM/4PM on Saturday Afternoon that is still fine!
