It's funny when the internet overpraises an album... like Hilary Duff 'Dignity', Ashley Tisdale 'Headstrong', Britney 'Blackout'.

How f***ing dare you place 'Blackout' with those other two lack luster examples of pop music?

'Hot As Ice' alone shits on both of their careers.

Also, 'Fever' is quite good.

The Remix album is a Japanese exclusive - she's done quite well there, Emotion was recently certified Gold.

Your post bases everything on commercial performance and relevancy, but that really isn't the be all and end all! A lot of us like her because we consider her to be a fabulous pop artist who made a stunningly great album. She doesn't have to go Top 10 to have a dedicated & appreciative fanbase! It is a shame she isn't more successful but that doesn't detract from her worth as an artist, or the quality of her music, imo.

Have you heard Emotion, do you dislike it?

While I don't really listen to the remixes too much, the two new tracks are decent especially Fever like you say. Not a patch on the original album material but I'm glad we got them.

Carly had the highest selling single by a overseas artist in Japan last year.

You're missing my point dear. I was saying these albums are adored online yet their sales are lacklaster. Like Carly.

I thought Blackout did pretty well worldwide. Platinum in many countries and two major hits? I'm not good at deciphering overseas sales though.

Blackout is an incredible album imo.

Also Dignity is an incredible album. I've been a fan of hilary from the beginning and Dignity is the best thing she's ever done.

Ok. I just don't correlate sales with quality.

But even if we did. Ashley sold less than 500,000 WW, Hilary around 900,000 and Britney is at 2.5 million.

Saying "overpraises" suggested that you don't feel Blackout deserves the praise it receives online. You seem to be insinuating that it doesn't deserve this praise because its sales are supposedly lacklustre?

Personal opinion on an album's quality ≠ how it sells!!
