Britney's lead single from her self-titled album "Britney".

It was released in the fall of 2001, and peaked at #4 in the UK, Top10 in pretty much all the European countries with its highest peak being #2 in Portugal, and #27 in the Hot 100 (on Pop radio it peaked at #15 which was a disappointment at the time since her other leads reached #1)

Check out the Uncut version of the video, and appreciate Britney's dancing skills at her best. Epic!

I hated it at the time, but I'm a lot more appreciative of it these days.

Same with me. I strongly disliked it but I've grown to actually like it over the years. Not one of her best songs, but its definitely a good one. Plus I think its her best video to date

I remember watching the VMAs live on television when she performed and I instantly loved it. I taped it and rewatched it countless times until I eventually got the whole routine down.

To me it was an instant classic and my favourite single of hers.

Even though the song was not smash hit... I would say that's definitely on of her signature singles. Video is simply unbeatable.

Yeah the video is just mesmerizing! I really do think the quality of music videos has gone down the gutter, they're nowhere near as amazing as they once were. And the choreo used to slay

Classic Britney!

Great song, fantastic production and the choreography is fantastic. The video is brilliant as well. Not only is it well executed but she looks incredible! Britney at her peak :D

I genuinely think that if she was to deliver something like this now, she'd easily smash and get people back "into her". This is ridiculously ahead of it's time that it never fails to get old and it gets better with age. I find it creeping up my affections more and more with every passing day!
I've never really been able to get into Slave. I know it's one of her signature singles, but I always forget about it.
pretty much her peak in all senses no? and lets not for get THAT live performance.

baso

iconic everything

I used to be obsessed with this when it first came out, now I don't mind it very much.
I really wasn't a fan of this when it came out, I was much more about the teenybopper pop music at that time. But I've grown to love it as I've got older and it is a stone cold classic.
