February 27, 20169 yr Author BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS http://i66.tinypic.com/s25taq.jpg http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...7716&st=80# 01. Alicia Vikander- Ex_Machina- 5 02. Alicia Vikander- The Danish Girl- 3 03. Kate Winslet- Steve Jobs- 2 04. Julie Walters- Brooklyn- 1 (3 second preferences) 04. Rose Byrne- Spy- 1 (3 second preferences) 06. Rebel Wilson- Pitch Perfect 2- 1 (1 second preference) 07. Kristen Stewart- Clouds Of Sils Maria- 1 (0 second preferences) Slay Alicia *.* The breakout actress of 2015 scores her 2nd prize of the evening for Best Supporting Actress as Alicia Vikander in Ex_Machina. She gives such an incredible and great performance and I think she'd have got nominated officially (and be a contender to win) if it wasn't for category fraud at the Oscars. And on the talk of category fraud, Alicia also ends up in 2nd for her lead role in The Danish Girl, a powerful, heartbreaking and masterpiece of a performance that would have been my pick for this category if I thought she was a supporting actress in it, but she isn't in any way, shape or form. Completing the top 3 is Alicia's rival for the Oscar tomorrow, Kate Winslet for a great and usual solid performance from her in Steve Jobs  Julie Walters is incredible in Brooklyn and Rose Byrne is hilarious and so funny in Spy so it was great to see both get nominations and they come joint 4th here! Rebel Wilson somehow got in for Pitch Perfect 2 despite a solid performance and unfortuantely all the Kristen Stewart fans bar me disappeared in the final voting as her only vote for her incredible, powerful and beautiful performance for Clouds Of Sils Maria comes from me, she is so underrated and an incredible actress and she proves her skills in this magnificent movie  Best supporting actor next!
February 27, 20169 yr Alicia Vikander is definitely way better in The Danish Girl imo, she brings loads of raw emotion to it. Kate Winslet is also pretty fabulous but a bit worried she's gonna steal the Oscar tomorrow although she would be my second choice.
February 27, 20169 yr Author Alicia Vikander is definitely way better in The Danish Girl imo, she brings loads of raw emotion to it. So agreed on this!
February 27, 20169 yr Excellent winner, just disagree with the movie she won it for (and I will DESPAIR if Kate gets the Oscar)
February 27, 20169 yr Best Supporting Actor The winner is MARK RYLANCE "Bridge of Spies" with five votes http://honeycuttshollywood.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/mark-rylance-bridge.jpg (2nd Sylvester Stallone "Creed" / 3rd Mark Ruffalo "Spotlight" / 4th Emory Cohen "Brooklyn" / 5th Jason Statham "Spy" / 6th Steve Carell "The Big Short") Mark Rylance wins for his portrayal of Russian spy Rudolf Abel, delivering a wonderful performance featuring touches of humour (despite his circumstances). Sylvester Stallone is runner up with two less votes for his role as the iconic Rocky. Jason Statham did well to get nominated here for his comedic turn in Spy, amongst all these dramatic performances and Steve Carell fails to pick up any votes (he wasn't BAD, but this dull movie shouldn't have been put forward for anything).
February 27, 20169 yr http://i.imgur.com/aGt5Ym5.jpg BEST ACTOR 01. Leonardo DiCaprio "The Revenant" (6 votes) 02. Jacob Tremblay "Room" (4 votes) 03. Eddie Redmayne "The Danish Girl" (3 votes) 04. Matt Damon "The Martian" (2 votes) 05. Michael Fassbender "Steve Jobs" (1 vote) Leonardo DiCaprio wins the Buzzjack Movie Award for this category just as he is expected to win at the Oscars for the first time tomorrow. Many people have been critical of his expected win tomorrow saying it is more for his career in acting than the role itself but you guys evidently think he is deserving of it for the role itself. I personally thought he was excellent in the Revenant and really managed to portray his emotions with very little dialogue. I imagine the physical conditions the film was shot in were very difficult to be a part of too. Jacob Tremblay was the only difference here from the actual Oscars line-up but Buzzjack deems him as the second most worthy of the nomination. Room pretty much depended on him to be good and he really delivered in every scene, that's difficult to do for a boy in single digits to do anyway but for him to be up there with adults is a real testament to his acting ability. Eddie Redmayne is my personal favourite for the win tomorrow at the Oscars because I think he really transformed himself for this role, you believed that Lili was trapped inside Einar's body even from the beginning and each movement by Eddie seemed to be thought out. It is another showy role for Redmayne after The Theory of Everything last year but I think he's so good in it and you all seem to agree too placing him third here. The Martian is another film that depends a lot on the lead actor and Matt Damon really delivered, he delivered the uplifting and comedic parts well but you could also feel how isolated he felt at parts behind his infectious personality. I doubt he has any chance at winning tomorrow but it's nice to see he's still got it. Michael Fassbender is another performance that was a big transformation, I feel like he managed to capture the character of Steve Jobs really well and many critics seem to prefer this performance over the other nominated ones. He was really good though so I hope he still has many nominations left in him and maybe an Oscar win in the future.
February 27, 20169 yr Nope. She won for the correct role! She's great in both, but I think she really steals the show in EM and she most definitely deserved it for this. Great for Leo. Definitely between him and Jacob for me. I think I'd have preferred Jacob to win it, but I really can't moan at him losing to Leo. The best possible choice for supporting, too.
February 27, 20169 yr Author Loved Mark but probably would have preferred an Emory win! Great winner still though! And once agian Leo was good but Jacob would have been a much better winner! Best actress coming in a couple of minutes then it is best picture :)
February 27, 20169 yr Blimey Buzzjack from the Razzies you'd think that The Revenant was hated!!!1! (Jacob and Eddie robbed)
February 27, 20169 yr Author BEST ACTRESS http://i65.tinypic.com/fasvft.jpg 01. Brie Larson- Room- 4 (4 second preferences) 02. Cate Blanchett- Carol- 4 (3 second preferences) 03. Jennifer Lawrence- Joy- 3 04. Saoirse Ronan- Brooklyn- 2 (4 second preferences) 05. Charlize Theron- Mad Max: Fury Road- 2 (0 second preferences) Ok before we even get to the winner, can we talk about how Saoirse Ronan ended up in 4th and nearly came last    Saoirse gives the most powerful, beautiful and incredible performance of the entire year in any category and is absolutely terrific as Ellis in Brooklyn, keeping you captivated and interested throughout the entire movie due to her passion and incredible acting skills  Well at least she made an improvement from nominations where she was actually a distant 5th :o Charlize drops to 5th for a great performance in Mad Max: Fury Road, though as much as I love her in the movie, she pales in comparison to the rest of this category. I'm happy that J-Law did pretty well here as her performance in Joy is so so underrated, she is incredible and it is my 3rd fave J-Law performance after Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook  Cate Blanchett just missed out on a shock win by 1 second preference vote for her role as the titular character in Carol. She gives a lot of emotion into the performance and it is another great performance from the always reliable Cate! And that means we are very likely matching Oscar fate again as Brie Larson scoops the win for her terrific performance in Room! She is my 3rd favourite of the nominees here but she is so excellent and gives such a powerful and heartbreaking performance and I am ok with her winning  Best Picture Next! We won't be starting till 2 sets of predictions!
February 27, 20169 yr Author BEST PICTURE LINE-UP Avengers 2 Big Hero 6 Brooklyn Inside Out It Follows Kingsman Mad Max: Fury Road Mockingjay Part 2 Room Spy Star Wars 7 A couple of predictions please and then we will start :)
February 27, 20169 yr http://i.imgur.com/YZbJM9O.jpg 11. Spy (0 votes) Unfortunately coming last in the Best Picture award is Spy, it's already won an award here tonight so it's done really well still but I don't think anybody was expecting it to come rock bottom tonight so that's a shame. Anyway, I've talked about it enough tonight but this is just one of the movies where everyone does a good job at being funny so you're constantly laughing. I think my favourite jokes are the fake IDs for Melissa McCarthy's characters but Jason Statham talking about his life experiences was hilarious too. This film ended up being one of the most commercially successful comedies of last year and probably the best critically received, even earning two Golden Globe nominations.
February 27, 20169 yr I will try get round to watching this! I have enjoyed Melissa McCarthy in other films
