Re: Sigala going to number one - That is very unlikely to happen unfortunately. I think Lukas Graham atill have another few weeks left in them and then maybe Fifth Hamony or something can overtake them
I certainly wouldn't rule Sigala out! Will already have built up decent streams of course and will have a good amount of pre-orders too. I sense it would need about 85k+ in its first week...

Pre-orders didn't exactly boost Riton and this hasn't done much better :heehee: Its streams are much better and I expect it'll do better once released but I'm not sure I can see #1 happening.

I would rule out, Riton had around the same amount of pre-orders and only reached #13 officially, although their streams were worse than Sigala's.

Still the streams from Sigala are still not strong enough for a top 3 (let alone for #1). Also seeing Sweet Lovin' couldn't get the top 3 and its pre orders were much better, and it was top 10 on Spotify, I would say Say You Do will reach top 10 but not top 3.

Rinse & Repeat was far less commercial sounding & Riton was a relative unknown. Sigala & DJ Fresh are both well known now & factoring that in should put it in better contention (yes How Love Begins flopped but that was crap in comparsion )

Bebe Rexha feat Nicki Minaj – No Broken Hearts

Iggy Azalea – Team

James Morrison - I Need You Tonight

Lawson – Money

Oliver Heldens feat Rumors - Ghost

Sigala feat Imani & DJ Fresh - Say You Do

Sigma – Stay

A couple of releases from big names on Friday - which of these should we expect to see go top 10/20/40?

Sigala has a shot (surely going to be #1 on sales alone at least) but I reckon it'll need to reach Easy Love's opening sales (82k) to get there, i'd say no lower than #3 overall but with rly good longevity.

And I agree with Dobbo that Sigala's pre-orders aren't quite comparable to Riton :kink:

Yes it's not so commercial as Say You Do, but to compare their pre order performances is valid as they do around the same. But as I said we can compare to Sweet Lovin's pre-order performance, it did better on a slightly better sales climate and it peaked at #3.

Mike Posner should be the next number 1 no? It's not far from taking the number 1 after the weekend and is #3 on Spotify, unless it suddenly slows down. Though I'd take Sigala, or anything, Christ, just please SOMETHING save us from that monotony, feels like it's been around like 52 years rather than 7.

It could be a tough battle between Sigala and Lukas Graham. LG will have the NOW 93 effect to help him out unless their track is one of the few tracks which is album-only

The ones I can see debuting next week-

Sigala 'Say You Do' - Top 3 (possibly #1)

Lawson 'Money' - Top 20 (because of Capital FM spamming + their fanbase)

Iggy Azalea 'Team' - Top 40 (idk, could do better but it depends on what the song's like)

Blonde & Craig David 'Nothing Like This' - Top 40 (should do better than Blonde's previous single)

Can't see Say You Do going to #1 at all, I reckon it will sell 25k-30k sales and 15k streams max on its opening week. 40-45k would put it around the mid to low end of the top ten. Happy to be proven wrong though, as it's a great track!
a lack of streams (in comparison to lukas graham) will probably cost sigala a shot a #1, but i'd be surprised if 'say you do' missed the top3~
Lisa Scott Lee managing to go higher than an Avicii song heavily featured on an advert oops

Has the ad been on UK television yet though? I don't think so.

It not doing well on iTunes isn't something to be concerned about anyway considering it's not meant to be getting a commercial chart push and is just for an advert. His 'Feeling Good' cover he did for a car advert performed similarly and he got 'Waiting For Love' in the top ten after that.

The ad's been getting a bit of rotation (mainly Channel 4 from what I've seen) but not huge rotation just yet. I had hoped it'd be doing better but it's a low key release and I'm not sure it's gonna be any kind of hit.
