I gave my thoughts on the whole US situation on Twitter last night. Jade has said they don't feel like the time is right to spend several months which I can understand, it's a massive commitment. However, I don't see why they can't just go there for a couple of weeks. If they did a few promo appearances and some of the talk shows like Ellen and the Late Late Show (including Carpool Karaoke).

 

It wouldn't be enough for them to properly 'break' America but it would at least get their name out there and get their music better known over there

I'm not starting 5H comparisons but I think for Simon on a management level hes a lot more focused on making 5H bigger in the US which is probably why LM haven't had that time to shine just yet overthere and vice versa.
The girls really need that ONE performance. They're still top 10 on iTunes and just ONE push of the song could get it top 10 officially! I'm really upset that they've lasted as long as they have inside the top 10, and aren't likely to get a peak to match that. I know it's not the be all and end all, but it's just so infuriating to see! :lol:

I would LOVE a performance, but I guess a performance for single 4 really wasn't needed. It's such a shame it's spent a month in the sales chart and a month in the iTunes top 10 but not officially. Their streaming really needs to improve next era.

On Sunday, Hair was number 8 on the iTunes chart, but number 20 on the official audio streaming chart. That explains a lot about why Hair looks set to miss out on Top 10.

 

Let's be honest Mixers' reputation for being rubbish at streaming is well known, Celeb Mix even mentioned it in an article when Hair was first released, yet nothing ever seems to change. I've heard that only 10 streams per account per day count (feel free to correct me if I've heard wrong information) but surely streaming a song for roughly 34 minutes a day isn't that difficult

And I think getting to these talk shows is harder than it looks like. Fifth Harmony still haven't been interviewed by Ellen or James I think. But yeah, it would be nice. But is Simon still in control of them? I think it's a team called Maverick now. They really made them go next level in terms of promo.

And you don't even have to stream the full song. Some people say 30seconds, but I like to do at least half to be safe. When Hair was released, I posted here a playlist with 10x of Hair and Hair ft Sean Paul, but I doubt anyone streamed =/ Shame.

Sorry, I've been lurking for a long time and have been thinking about joining but I felt the need to comment on this lol, so hey! I particularly think that this is a poor excuse for why they don't do well on streaming, songs don't do well on streaming because of the artist's fan base, if it's not a song people will listen to while, say, pre drinking, then it's not going to perform that well. I don't think the girls ever had one of these except for maybe Move, which always pleases whoever's with me when I play it and it's ultimately the only one I find appropriate. Hair does go more in that lane but doesn't quite fit with the rest of the current mainstream playlist, it's more like something you'd wanna listen while having a fun time at a pool, I don't know. Anyway, I just don't think mixers have the obligation to stream, mainly because it wouldn't make that big of a difference...

The sad thing is that is almost certainly gonna be the closest it gets to a TV performance. I would expect them to perform it at STB though, so that's something

No, STB isn't really promo. For some reason twitter thinks it is, but it's only played on Capital radio, who play their songs anyway.

Hair is also starting to rise in other countries

That's 11-12-13, if that trend can continue for a few weeks they would build up some very impressive sales.
