Time Heist saw the show take on the vein of a heist movie albeit with the usual science fiction element. The Doctor and Clara are forced to team up with two strangers, one a hacker who sacrificed his personal memories and another a shapeshifter. All four of them have agreed to a short-term memory wipe and have received instructions from 'The Architect', although none of them know why. The purpose of the memory wipe is to protect them from the Teller, an amazingly designed monster that has the ability to sense criminal thoughts and destroy someone's mind, perfect security for a bank. The Teller was a great creation for a one-off episode and there was a nice style in tone. Overall though, there was a certain element lacking and Keeley Hawes was slightly underused as the villain. For me, the episode is in the right place here.

The Husbands of River Song is the most recent episode to air, airing on Christmas Day 2015. It marks the first appearance of River Song since The Name of the Doctor, meaning it is the first time that she appeared alongside the Twelfth Doctor. This becomes the focus of the first half of the episode with River not recognising the Doctor, having only pictures of the first eleven. The episode is a big old romp, with a lot of fun to be had with both the main characters as well as the guest characters. The episode heavilly hints that it is the last appearance of River Song, both as she doesn't realise he survived after his eleventh incarnation and that the Doctor takes her to the singing towers of Darillium, known to be the last time he ever sees her. It is these final scenes that help make the episode stand out, with beautiful dialogue being played out perfectly. Otherwise, it is a fun episode that doesn't have any other memorable moments.

Finding it very tough now but went for The Magician's Apprentice / The Witch's Familiar in the end as, despite the second part being excellent, the first half wasn't too great for me, particularly the guitar bits. Was stuck between that and the final three episodes of Series 9!

Aw, Time Heist was a rather fun episode imo.

Can more people vote for Listen please? :P

(and can more people vote in general, this rate is going painfully slow :/ )

At this stage, it has to be 'Flatline'. It's a good episode, but falls a bit, um... flat at parts.
