August 21, 20177 yr All of the other reviews will feature Darius & either Sheridan or Natasha. The rest of the tour cast remains the same. The leads are joined by a cast including Nigel Barber (Florenz Ziegfeld), Zoë Ann Bown (Mrs. Meeker), Martin Callaghan (Mr. Keeney), Jennifer Harding (Emma), Rachel Izen (Mrs Brice), Joshua Lay (Eddie) and Myra Sands (Mrs. Strakosh). Tom Partridge was Darius's understudy. Alexandra Waite Roberts was Natasha' s, Nova Skip was Rachel Izen's. Edited August 22, 20177 yr by Baytree
August 22, 20177 yr Could the thread be pinned now please. Jennifer Harding, Sheridan's tour understudy and Darius Canterbury https://jofisherwrites.com/2017/05/21/revie...canterbury/amp/ It took me a few moments to remember that Darius Campbell – yes, that Colourblind crooner and ex-Pop Idol contestant – was playing the role of Nick Arnstein. He was slick, suave and utterly believable as the tall, dark and handsome man who suddenly swishes into Fanny’s life. He’s putting his fantastic singing voice to good use on the brightly lit stage and it really suits him. Edited August 26, 20177 yr by Baytree
August 22, 20177 yr Darius has done more Funny Girl shows than anyone, including Sheridan, and he's done most of the local media interviews etc. for the show. Natasha J Barnes also did quite a bit too both with Darius and solo. How often do the Funny Girl shows take place?
August 22, 20177 yr Saturday 19th August, Darius's birthday, were the last two shows on the tour. In London they did 8 shows per week. On tour if would depend on the distance between the venues, whether they could start on the Monday or not. In Glasgow an extra matinee was added presumably because there was a high demand for tickets. Birmingham had the House Full sign out for the whole week. Edited because there are always two matinees.... So 3 in Glasgow not 2 like I said before. Edited August 22, 20177 yr by Baytree
August 22, 20177 yr Listening to an interview Darius did with BBC radio Manchester last week he did mention that the recording of funny girl will be in cinemas and also shown on sky like from here to eternity but he didn't say when. Sorry i can't post as you have to mess around registering to their website but i thought i'd let you all know the small piece of info i found out
August 22, 20177 yr Thank you Polly. Yay! Two down - silver screen and Sky Arts. We just need confirmation of the DvD now. .
August 22, 20177 yr Surely they'll release one. Obviously I personally am alright with Sky confirmed but not everyone has Sky or is able to access it by digital means. The producers must know that Sheridan's fans will expect one. She's unlikely to be able to fit it in again unless it was to be on Broadway for example.
August 22, 20177 yr He told me about it and the filming, so he does know and is looking forward to seeing the dvd
