So since things have been very quiet lately, I thought we could chat a little about what we expect from LM4.. Which route do you want them to go? Pop again or R&B? When you expect a release etc. Let's talk :D

I'd like to see them go down a rockier route. It's something they've talked about before and something a lot of people, particularly outside the fandom, wouldn't expect

I'd like them to continue with songs like Hair and Black Magic, Get Weird was a bit of a 3.5/5 as much as I loved it, so I'd like to see them work with some better producers and really perfect their sound. Though this era has given me my favourite singles from them overall, I don't think their albums as a whole package quite live up to their personality and performance skills.

They can go with any style, but I would really like a focused, cohesive, thought out effort from them next. I know they have it in them and I feel like it would cement their status.

I would like they focusing on the US market.. Working with US producers

I'd like to see some rockier sounds like Wake Me Up, but I do love me some Pop Little Mix. And yes, I need them to bring a 5/5 album. Hoping their new status means better producers to help them create something really amazing

Tbh, although it was commercially least successful, Salute to me was their best work. That album was so cohesive, every track was at least an 8/10, and the sound really suits them. It also brought them their best critical reception, so I'd love another Salute, but amped up to even greater heights, and maybe with a couple Black Magic level bangers thrown in there as well if they can make the sound fit with the album :wub:

It's big in the UK, and maybe that could help them break into the US.

They've said so many times they want to go to the US and spend several months over there. I'd happily wait until next year for LM4 if it meant the girls spending enough time out there to properly crack America

I would like some more Salutes and Moves.

I would like an EDM style track... more down the route of a more polished sounding Lightning.

I need them to feature on a song with a huge DJ OR a huge song. Why is it so hard? These girls are f***ing talented. They should be lining up to get a feat from them. Also, they're killing it in the UK and a proper dance song could be their worldwide breakthrough

Would be great to have some high quality remixes of future singles like Kygo and Calvin though.

Yeah. The only EDM I'd accept is in the form of a remix bundle or something similar. Or if they were asked by any of the EDM acts to appear on their album, I'd be cool with that. Just not as a sound for their album.

 

I am DYING for them to work with Max Martin. I'd do anything for it to happen.

And they revealed a new album will be recorded by the end of the year. Top of their hit list for collaborations would be Macklemore and Nicki Minaj.

 

“We want to do some more things with rappers as well, something cool and a bit more r and b,” said Nelson. “We actually have no idea what it will be yet but we would like it to be something you’d hear at the club and still quality music. We don’t want to go too far from where we are now but each album we are growing up.”

 

Pinnock added: “We always like to change things up. We wouldn’t want to bring out an album that everyone would expect it to be.”

Seeing that interview makes me excited for the next album. I'd love to see them work with someone like Macklemore

I hope we get a new single in Q4 then and I really would like a repackage for Christmas.

So let's think this through... If they plan on having a new album out by 2017, maybe we could get single 1 on the XF Finale?

Unless LM4 isn't happening until Q4 of 2017, then I'd really need a repackage with 2 singles released to keep us until the next album.

I can't see them not releasing in Q4, as sales will be highest then, and it's generally when the biggest acts release, which includes them, so I see that as most likely. So yeah, I'd be hoping for a repackage this year around christmas time, and a single to plug later this year
