Considering what they couldn't get, Now 55 has always been a solid fave of mine. SO many memories and tunes. Proof that you don't need every hit to make a damn good album. I wish I was still 14!

Ahhh! The memories, I was 16 back then.

I really enjoyed NOW 55 too. Only thing I didn't like is that CD 1 has 23 songs and CD 2 only has 19 songs. CD 2 could have done with a few more tracks. I blame The HITS for all the good songs missing out

I was 11  Was heart broken when I noticed "Favourite Things" by Big Brovaz wasn't on it.

HITS 56  Put them together and you have my summer of 2003 wrapped up perfectly

Love the cover! Hoping for a large amount of Euro-Pop on this and some Geri Halliwell - Mi Chico Latino :kink:

If we get "Cheerleader" on there which we most likely will, it means we'll definitely have it on NOW 91

Now 55 was boring at the time but it's grown on me immensely, shout outs to All Over, Damaged and Hey Ma

All Over by Lisa Mafia!! And "Real Things" by Javine. So many Pop-Bops!!!

And S Club's gorgeous Say Goodbye <3 Scooter's The Night is up there with their best as well, what a brilliant album.

And Emma's "Free Me"

These spinoffs are probably the biggest example of not being 'value for money'.
I just bought NOW - The Summer Album from 1986, which is way better than NOW Summer Party

Oh well. I guess they blew the budget on NOW Classic Rock OR this is aimed at the Pop Party crowed

There's an even BETTER summer album coming out from Heat Radio! "Heat Summer Anthems" is a mix of new and yester-year hits :D

Amazon doesn't have the track listing, but iTunes does.

Heat Summer Anthems

It has Rachel Stevens, Girls Aloud, Kelly Clarkson and Spice Girls

NOW 16 holds the record for the least number ones on a NOW with 0. The reason NOW 16 never had any number ones at all because all the songs which reached number one 'round the time were on HITS 11

There weren't many number 1s then anyway. Jive Bunny's Swing the Mood was already on Now 15 and there were only four other number 1s before Now 16 was released - Ride On Time, That's What I Like and Been Around the World, and as you say they were all on Monster Hits (Hits 11) and New Kids on the Block - You Got It (The Right Stuff) wasn't licensed to either compilations.

I guess that will be replacing the club hits compilation this year. Hopefully it will be all dance/house music this time.

And throw in some classics instead of having only recent songs and have more songs on there which haven't appeared on past NOWs

Why are there so many spin offs all of a sudden? There was like one every year until about 2011?

It's been like that since Sony took over. It was never like this when Virgin were in charge
