This is Mediatraffic, right? Where did you get this info from? I don't see it anyhwere on their official page or their facebook page.

Also that number makes no sense. It sold 92k in the UK (pure sales) and around 15k in the US. That's exactly 109k. It had to sell at least 125k with other countries.

That was for Get Weird

Number 2 in the Midweek Chart Update- 4,620 behind Kate Bush and 2,417 ahead of Michael Ball and Alfie Boe

I think they'll overtake Kate, but unfortunately will ultimately be about 5k+ behind Michael Ball.

Just a question (might be dumb) but why Michael and Joe seems to sell this album that much ? If I check their discography/sales, they don't seem like big acts ?

They cater to an older audience (early 60's+) and with it being Christmas time, that's when they get majority of the sales. It's why Elvis is selling in droves and similarly, Michael Buble etc... too. This time of year sees a spike in classical/specialist music much more noticeably.

I'm not usually one to complain about promo, as when you get huge airplay, it's not really needed outside Q4 bar the odd performance, but given the time of year, promo has been kinda mute, hasn't it?

I think they're focusing on Mianland Europe at the moment.

They seem to be focusing their promo outside of the UK this era. Maybe (and this is just my guess) HQ feel that as Get Weird was so successful, still hanging around in the charts even now, and the girls' profile in the UK is now so big that they don't need to do quite as much promo over here

Which is wise, I guess. I just hope they have Royal Variety, XF Final and a couple of smaller slots somewhere. I'm not going to keep my hopes up for an ITV special now as I assume it would have been announced.

I really hope they do Royal Variety and XFactor Final. It'd be a real shame if they don't.
According to Mint Royale, the girls have overtaken Kate Bush and are now Number 1
I'm assuming they're going to do BBC Music Awards too?
Great to see them back at #1 hopefully they can hold off Ball & Boe be brilliant for them to get another week at #1, How long ago was it that a girl band stayed #1 more than just 1 week? Anyone know few years back I guess.
Blimey 15 years ago! I thought it would of been Girls Aloud or something, Hopefully Little Mix stay #1 then first girl band album stay #1 more than 1 week in 15 years, I guess it be longer for a UK girl band too Spice Girls am guessing?
I had wanted Kate Bush to attain another number 1 as its been a very long time since she had a number 1 but i welcome Little Mix holding on. Kate couldn't have picked anyone better to be beaten by at this time. Sales are good for this week as well which is welcoming to see.
Would be great to see them 2 weeks at #1, also I would be pretty worried with the lack of promo, but they travelled like 5 different countries in a week so I'm happy with that, couple of days off and hope they do RV then.

Oh sorry, thought he quoted the post asking about Glory Days 1st week WW sales, my bad.

So did I! :(
