It really is amazing how they're just going from strength to strength atm, and considering they've only released 1 pre album single, i'd be hopeful they'll shift a hell of lot with still 3 or 4 more singles to come

Could they run for a third week ? With the jingle bell ball coming tomorrow.

JBB isn't really that kind of promo. It won't have an effect on sales really.

I'm certainly not aware of any big releases this week. Would be incredible if both single and album got three weeks at Number 1

Rolling Stones have a new album or collection out which is predicted for #1

So what is everyone's hope for the single run?

 

As SOTME has happened and Touch seems like it's the second single, I'm hoping for No More Sad Songs and Power to round the set off.

 

Looking forwards to them performing some songs live to get a better feel of which will work best.

My hope is

 

Touch> Your Love> No More Sad Songs

 

Reality

 

Touch> Oops> No More Sad Songs, I wouldn't rule out You Gotta Not

2nd single - Touch

3rd single - Oops

4th single - No More Sad Songs

 

If they're going for 5 singles this era then I want it to be Power.

2nd and 3rd singles seem highly likely to be Touch and Oops. No More Sad Songs seems really popular so I'd probably go for that. If they do a 5th single I'd consider going for Nobody Like You

Obviously 2nd is Touch, I have a huge suspicion it's already been decided single 3 will be Oops and then maybe Power, however I would love it to be No More Sad Songs... So I am kind of hoping for a 5 single era, since they are bigger than ever and in their "Glory Days". :lol:

I really don't get the No More Sad Songs hype.

 

It's almost a given that Oops is Single 3 but I really think they should go all out and just give us Power as single 4. If it goes disastrously they can play it safe and win the general public back with FU or Nothing Else Matters as single 5, but not No More Sad Songs - it lacks something. So does Touch for that matter but still they're ploughing on with that one anyway by the looks.

I don't see why everyone thinks 'Power' would be such a disastrous (? Lack of a better word lol) single choice? To me it's the one with the most appeal! It's edgy for them, but it hits hard and is really instant.

I would totally love it if it was a single for he video alone. But when the girls talked about it themselves they said the general non-fans wouldn't get it and would see it as 'noise' (casual music fans can be quite snobby) which I somewhat agree with.

 

Also, I don't see how someone couldn't see the appeal of No More Sad Songs. It's go everything, emotion, dancablity, good vocals, good production.

Now that is a concept I'd fully support! Personally I'd love Nothing Else Matters to be a single
