April 30, 20178 yr Huddersfield won the league three times in a row in the 1920s. They have played roughly 30 seasons in the top flight. Wasn't their great manager the great Arsenal manager in the 30s?w
April 30, 20178 yr Wasn't their great manager the great Arsenal manager in the 30s?w Yes, Herbert Chapman oversaw two of those Huddersfield titles before moving to Arsenal and winning two more.
April 30, 20178 yr Interesting play-offs, I really hope Fulham/Reading dont go up. Would love to see a Yorkshire derby in the final!
May 1, 20178 yr Author Me too, hoping to see an Huddersfield v Sheffield Wednesday play-off final. Would like either of these two to go up.
May 4, 20178 yr Author Newcastle are going to absolutely OWN this league. Have they? A straight fight on the final day between Brighton and Newcastle for the title. I would like to see Brighton win as they deserve it. Who do you think will go down between Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers? I think it could be Forest.
May 7, 20178 yr Author Oh David Stockdale...... Brighton lose the title to a late equaliser from Grealish from Villa. Blackburn go down to League One.
May 7, 20178 yr Author Yes which one mdh? Out of Huddersfield, Reading, Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday. Who do you think will go up?
May 7, 20178 yr A couple months go I would have made Huddersfield clear favourites for winning the play-offs but their recent form has been terrible. They have done a Tottenham by finishing fifth in a three horse race.
May 7, 20178 yr Author Can't see Huddersfield going up as they have stuttered through with the form they've been in.
May 7, 20178 yr Sheffield Wednesday please. Been too long, would love an away day at Hillsborough. If not, Fulham. Hate Reading so please not them.
May 7, 20178 yr Form often tends to mean very little going into the playoffs however, anything can happen in these matches, especially the winner takes all final!
May 8, 20178 yr Author And we are still wanting to know who mdh was happy about the team staying in the Championship. I think in the final it will be between Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday.
May 8, 20178 yr And we are still wanting to know who mdh was happy about the team staying in the Championship. He's a Brummie... ;)
May 9, 20178 yr Author When he posted that comment, we weren't sure which one he meant. That explains it now, cheers. How do you see Bristol City doing next season, OutstandingMixer?
May 10, 20178 yr How do you see Bristol City doing next season, OutstandingMixer? Not sure really, it's been a strange season overall. A decent start to the season, absolutely absymal in the middle, and then ended the season in good form. A really frustrating season in all honesty. We definitely need to strengthen in certain areas if we are to move forward and really compete in this league. A striker to replace Tammy, and both full-back positions are a must. A creative/goal scoring midfielder would nice too.
