so i've finally listened to the whole album and i think it definitely takes a few listens to get in to, however at the moment i still prefer Hot Fuss...

 

I love the enterlude :wub: what's the betting they'll open with it at their live shows? Also like where the white boys dance, bones, for reasons unknown, my list and sam's town. imo, lowlights of the album are uncle johnny and bling, they'll prob grow on me though... can't wait till i see them live, not long to go now :yahoo:

Bling would prbably give "Punk Rocker" and RHCP's "Hump de Bump" as the worst thing I've heard all year...

Only bought Hot Fuss on Sat. for a fiver and only like the first few tracks so will give this a miss for now.

I might get this album, I really like The Killers but I'll wait till they bring out another track first. Really love When you were young.

Yeah, that's a good point. You know everybody would've complained if this album had sounded exactly the same as the last! The Killers can't seem to win! :lol:

 

well according to andy gill of the independent the last sounded like simple minds, the new one simple minds doing bruce springsteen.

Only bought Hot Fuss on Sat.

I got the leak about 2/3 weeks ago. I loved 'Hot Fuss' but this STILL hasn't grown on me, I find it all over-complicated and just can't get into it :(

This has grown on me A LOT like I hoped and it's possibly one of the best of the year imo ^_^

I've been listening to this album all week everyday going to and from uni and i've gotta say it's really grown on me too! really looking forward to seeing them live now!!!!!!! :D :cheer:

i think in sale sterms it will be a fight between the scisoor sisters and the killers for best selling album of th eyear,both are great though which is good

I think the reason for that being is that it has grown on a lot of people. :lol:

 

I am probably of a very small minority to think it's maybe actually a better album than 'Hot Fuss.' :lol: :dance:

Most definitely a grower album! I wasn't too keen on it at all, but I'm really glad I stuck with it coz there's some really good tracks on this one - so far I'm really liking 'Sam's Town', 'When You Were Young', 'Bling', 'Read My Mind', 'Uncle Jonny' and 'Why Do I Keep Counting' :)

I think that's the problem when you have a very good debut that some people set the standards expectation very high for a follow-up and when it's not as instant/likeable they're very dissapointed.

 

Either way maybe the album will be a grower for others too.

yeah, I think I'm guilty of doing that, but Sam's Town has grown on me, so it's all good :D
