Arrival

I concur with the majority - absolutely STUNNING :heart: the atmosphere, the music, the performances, the subtle build up and then THAT twist was just perfect. I feel like Sci-Fi in general is a bit too dumbed down in film recently, so seeing one that really makes you think for yourself and makes an intelligent comment on the human race as a whole (the metaphor of a new language being seen as a threat was perfectly done) is wonderful, completely blew Interstellar out of the water and I did like that. Props to Amy Adams too, definitely a bit confused at that Oscar snub. Probably one of the best films I've seen in the last year actually, I feel I'm going to be analysing this in my head for days.

Not expecting a Best Picture win, but it did well to be up for that category for a film of it's ilk, will be rooting for it to pick up a few more though!
