I just had a thought, obviously I don't know exactly how the mods do their research into each entry to see whether it's veto worthy or not but if it's a case of working through the list, could the songs that have been checked off not be posted in the thread as being 'okay for now'? Of course the whole 'nobody's safe until the semis are up' thing would still stand but it would add a little peace of mind to people who are worried they might get vetoed?

This probably isn't a good idea as I imagine it's something thats been considered before

As the whole "no one is safe until the semi starts" thing is in place, we won't put a list as to what songs are considered 'safe' in public until the actual semi-finals start purely for the reason that we have vetoed songs which at first didn't trigger any discussion, but as the week progresses it's hype and coverage skyrocketed. It wouldn't be fair to give people a false hope during this process as it certainly would be frustrating to see your song being listed as safe, and then the next minute we announce our vetos and your song is included in the batch.

I don't think the songs would be posted as 'safe for now' because the songs are meant to be revealed in one go when the semi thread opens and we want to keep the playing field as level as possible  And the mods would be unable to post which countries are 'safe' as we don't know who is behind what.

(Also with another veto being confirmed, word of advice, something that was in the final of Melodifestivalen is never going to get through with the amount of people that follow it on here :P)

Cheap Hoe Veto #3:

Lisa Ajax - My Heart Wants Me Dead 34

Melodifestivalen finalist 2016 (thus substantial radio, internet, TV, or print media exposure) - 12

Featured on Scandipop, Josepvinaixa and several minor blogs and Eurovision websites - 7

Artist finished 41st in BJSC 79 - 3

Song charted at #10 in Sweden - 12

I have a song but it looks like it'll rack up 21 veto points despite the song itself being pretty irrelevant. Afraid to confirm it!
Ah I forgot you couldn't see the country names with the new Google forms system  That's all understandable though, I knew there'd probably be a good reason as to why it's not done that way ^_^
confirmed it anyways, praying it makes it through as it's my favorite song of the year thus far!
If y'all trust me enough, I will listen to potentials
who trusts tim tho

My #1 position on the YTD chart does xxx

Re-confirmed another Italian bop, crazier than Annalisa to fit with Beaverdonia hosting x

A bit fickle but I'm already kinda tiring of my initial confirmation which is never a good sign.
