July 7, 20169 yr I always find it odd that The Ketchup Song gets labelled as Spanish. The verses are mostly English with a few Spanish phrases and the chorus is complete gibberish. Edited July 7, 20169 yr by AcerBen

July 7, 20169 yr Youssou N'Dour & Neneh Cherry - 7 Seconds - #3 in 1994 That was the last time I followed a single up the charts, willing it to climb every week. It was such a pleasure to witness it making number 3. I'd hoped it would hit number 1 but Wet Wet Wet and Kylie had other idea.

Well there is actually a Spanish version of The Ketchup Song too, though obviously the Spanglish version was more popular in the UK. Spanish version is actually quite a jam too *.*
July 7, 20169 yr Not added due to the English segments. Several of the songs on the first page have significant English parts (e.g. Begin The Beguine, Rock Me Amadeus, Chanson D'Amour, Danza Kuduro). As for some of the missing languages: Gasolina is Spanish (title = Petrol). Sweet Lullaby is in Baegu. No Tengo Dinero is mainly in English, with a few Spanish lyrics (title = I Have No Money). Yeke Yeke is in Mandinka. Dragostea Din Tei is in Romanian (title = Love From The Lindens).

July 7, 20169 yr Sarah Brightman & Andrea Bocelli - Time to Say Goodbye (Con Te Patiro), #2 in 1997, hasn't been mentioned yet (unless you're not counting it because of the one line of English in it ;o)
July 7, 20169 yr Not added due to the English segments. Well The Ketchup Song and Macarena have to go too then. Why is Rock Me Amadeus there? It was the English version that was the hit here Edited July 7, 20169 yr by AcerBen

July 8, 20169 yr Author There has to be a line to draw as partially English tracks are infiltrating the list of foreign hits now. I've added all the suggestions from this thread so far to the best of my knowledge. Considered putting a couple of Ricky Martin songs up but upon listening they are heavily English.
