Don't come in here and piss on our happiness. It's #1.

This makes me wonder how her other singles would do in the streaming era. On paper this is one of her worse performing singles chart position wise but would her pre-streaming era work have peaked around the same place?
Urgh, I didn't predict she'd miss the top 10 in the UK. I really hope she can put out something that clicks a bit more with everyone for second single.
Great live BUT is her career to the point already where she is performing in small clubs next to the toilet??? :///
She is getting to Britney Spears/ Nerina Pallot levels so I don't thibk we should expect much at the moment.

She will still sell arenas when she tours, the bar was just a surprise fun little pop up I think!

It's really strange in today's age of social media for artists to flop to the point of being relevant. Even Kelly Clarkson Pink etc have longevity.

Lady GaGa joins the ranks of Nelly Furtado aaand Christina Aguilera, Ashanti and Christina Milian. It's really uncommon and just goes to show how awful Artpop was and the over the top hype and the Jump the Shark Flying Dress.

Jesus Christ, #12 is not a flop for a song with no promo, proper airplay or a video yet. I. these days, top 20 is actually really good, look at Olly Murs, his new one hasn't bothered the top 10 but it's stuck around. Ariana Grande with most of her singles too, long running non top 10's.

Kylie got to #12 with Into The Blue even with decent airplay and promo and an early video release and she is a more established act, Gaga has done well.

she's a much bigger name than those 2 people you mention tho... olly murs lol

Not in the UK really, not compared to Olly who has had 2 albums sell over a million and the other 2 sailing over half a million. Gaga wishes she could sell those numbers.

You both aren't wrong tbh. In this day and age where the UK charts are governed by streaming for the most part, longevity can make the difference between a hit and a flop. "You Don't Know Love" and "Into You" both stayed long enough in the charts to sell decently, but then again so did "Just Like Fire" and P!nk is arguably a bigger name and peaked lower than both songs mentioned. And that's partially why I'm worried because the reception has been mixed and I'm not sure if it will get the longevity all three of those did have.

Considering the only promo she's done for Joanne, let alone this single, has only been radio interviews (and that really vague AHS trailer), I'll hold my breath until we get a performance slot or two.
