I still love Salt Ashes almost as much though, even though it’s at 2, and ABC go up to 3, their 3rd top 3. The exciting No Wyld shoot up to 6, and there’s a few Pet Shop Boys tracks in and back and about, following their storming Royal Opera House concert. Not bad for 30 years in the biz! Olly Murs has a nice top 20 leap, and Dusty’s classic at long last also makes the 20 50 years on. Highest new entry is a classy French language delight from Vendredi sur Mer at 26, and French act Christine And The Queens at 60, with other returnees being Max Jury, Josef Salvat on a roll - 3 top 40’s in a row - Selena Gomez, and Beverley Knight extending her run to over 20 years with a song that I first charted over 47 years ago in its’ original version: Private Number hit my top 10 for William Bell & Judy Clay in early 1969.
