Massive Attack have released a couple of further non-album singles following the 'Ritual Spirit EP' earlier this year. I am absolutely ADORING 'The Spoils' - another powerful collab with Hope Sandoval after the showstopping 'Paradise Circus'. Goosebumps!

pity it's doing nothing chart wise and doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in them out there, think they should put out an album instead of so many random tracks

I wasn't even aware they had released Ritual Spirit EP.

It's pretty good, isn't it? As far as chart action goes, practically all alternative artists might as well forget that forever - I wonder if there'd be any way of creating an official alternative / indie chart? Not easy to define though as one person's alternative is another's mainstream.

 

The record shop chart was a good attempt, but it obviously doesn't take streaming into account.

"Come Near Me" is a great song. That "Unfinished Sympathy" episode is hilarious! :rofl:

There's a shade of Lana in there - except lighter. It's great that they're brave enough to go for minimal at this stage in their career. Love the organ-y sound. I haven't even heard this with good speakers - looking forward to a proper listen.

'The Spoils' is complete song of the year material!

This is pretty good, Splitting The Atom is 10x better than these though. :manson:

'Paradise Circus' was the best from that album!!!!

LATE but I am all over 'The Spoils', what a beauty!! :wub: 'Paradise Circus' is one of my all-time favourite songs so I had no problem warming to the vocals.

 

Shall check out this whole thing soon. Currently just have this one song on repeat, just stunning :heart:
