Posted August 4, 20168 yr https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/15492...lbum-with-them/ @TheSun an article on me being dropped/dumped. If only 'journalists' would get facts checked. Silly people- I'm looking at legality of your @TheSun ....legality of your wording. FYI- I'm renegotiating deals and Island are still very much in the mix. Silly silly people So glad he's done this. August 4, 20168 yr Thanks for that TT, that's tabloid journalism for you, the Sun is mostly made up rubbish anyway.
August 4, 20168 yr Thanks TT. It was the Daily Star who ran the story first. Perhaps Dan Wootton should have checked on the validity of the story first. Hey ho - that's the red tops for you.
August 7, 20168 yr Did he only sign a 1 album deal with Island then? '85% Proof' in fairness although it done REALLY well probably didn't match a major labels expectations as it didn't produce any hit singles and 'only' went silver. Edited August 7, 20168 yr by ___∆___
August 7, 20168 yr Did he only sign a 1 album deal with Island then? '85% Proof' in fairness although it done REALLY well probably didn't match a major labels expectations as it didn't produce any hit singles and 'only' went silver. The answer to your question is that he doesn't really have a traditional deal with Island - he licensed 85% Proof to Island and XIX Management Limited, so that explains that he pretty much re-negotiates with each release.

So did Island just distribute 85% Proof? I can understand Will having a different label relationship to most other artists as he likes to have the freedom to pursue acting roles and other projects.
