I know we are 3 weeks away from release but we can do some predictions from now?

I know I am being way too optimistic here but I went with 4th choice...nearing 100k pure album sales would be amazing for her in this sales climate!!

I went with the same. What did BJ open with? I think it will be very similar, but will sell more in the long run.

Given Britney Jean did about 12K first week I think this is wildly optimistic... probably less than 10K.

 

*edit - just realised this is about the US... probably 115K combined.

Seeing as she's likely doing 2 of the US' biggest promo slots in one week, I went for the 4th.

I've gone for 55-75k pure sales, every big release this year has had "underwhelming" first week sales it seems and if Britney Jean managed 107k sales in the very final weeks of Q4 I can see this being considerably less considering we are in Q3 and the album market has collapsed. I think it'll be the upper part of this bracket, perhaps 70-75k pure sales but I'm not that well informed on US sales so it is just an instinct.

True but also you need to know that she has a fanbase and this time it feels people are more aware of her album rather than BJ with all Vegas thing going on etc etc.

 

And if Gwen could sell something 70k on pure sales, I don't see how Britney won't do little bit more than that!! I love Gwen so no offense.

BJ got swallowed up in the Christmas market though. Although I think it affected it more in the UK.

With carpool karaoke AND a VMA performance (please!), definitely the fourth! I mean BJ sold that much with no serious promo or a single performance. And it was literally assaulted by all critics.

 

Definitely the last. If they do a promo blitz for two weeks in the USA and do everything correct, I could see it scraping 200k! She may not have the numbers backing her like she used to, but with some decent promo slots she will easily win back the 22 - 32 aged pop fans. If she does well in anything in the States, it's album sales.

 

Now. If she just does carpool karaoke and just presents at the VMA's she'll do well to scrap 100k combined.

I disagree, even if there's waning interest in her music, Britney Spears is still one of the most famous and iconic popstars in the world. I think it'll bring in big views.

I expect this could have quite big publicity around it (Carpool), even my dad mentioned it to me and he doesn't follow pop culture at all.

I went with 75k-95k sales / 105k-125k SPS, thought I'd play it safe

90-100 pure sales, 125-130 sps

Now we 100% have Carpool and VMAs, I'm thinking the 4th might be quite easy.

Yeah the hype in America is already unreal. Her last performance was 2007.

 

If she gives us a performance as good as the billboard awards we will easily hit 200k. I'm expecting 'Femme Fatale' numbers (275k) are even in our reach!

Ok that is a bit too much to expect in this sales climate...If this does 150k that will already make me (ooh) happy!!
