Wow.

I am really disappointed in Vanessa.

Of all the weeks to release a song, do it on the week Mollie has released something. Well anything to get herself some hype. Maybe more than 7 people will buy her songs this time.

This isn't exactly new, but the quality sounds better than the one I have now. Wish it was one Itunes though.

!

I hate it. :(

The production's awful and there's no hook whatsoever. :/ It sounds both dated and like a demo...

She sounds amazing though so I'm glad for that. When she belts.

2/10 I guess?

Love it, far better than Mollies

Why does V get so much hate - It's like she's has already transitioned into the Gary Barlow fat/wilderness years without the initial solo success, I mean she couldn't even get a record deal

I don't think Vanessa gets that much hate. She was admitedly the least popular in the group, but she is (yes, still) also the most talented singer. (I mean people will try to say it's either Una or Rochelle, but we know what's up)

Vanessa
chose
not to accept a record deal because the deals she's been offered didn't please her (probably a big fat 360-deal with a huge-ass percentage over all her profits, and probably a certain direction she had to follow). She
had
options, but she chose not to take them. The girl wants a deal you could have back in the time, except they don't do these anymore in 2016. Time changes, etc. Look, I think that's somehow commendable - sticking to the indie/self-fund route to do what
you
wanna do - but everything's been SO underwhelming so far. :(

Honestly, right now, I think she should just take one of these deals she's been offered, because the direction she's going in just simply isn't good. She needs someone to tell her that what she's been recording is dull and to put her on the right direction (even if it's RnB or urban, at least put on her on some GOOD RnB you know?)

What a waste of an
amazing
voice. :(

Also, she's like...super gorgeous? So get her an amazing aesthetic to showcase how gorgeous she is, for God's sake! THROW SOME MONEY AT HER.

God, she needs a label.
(or to get rich)

(Or she should ditch these unknown producers she's been working with a lot.

Get her in a song-writing camp to write with better songwriters, she can clearly write a song even if she's not Una/Mollie. )

Hurricane where did you read about her getting offered deals? I'm curious to see who she turned down
The song is just crap like the rest of the solo songs she made.

I actually don't think these songs are dull, well they are a bit flawed production wise, but they are actually really good. I feel like they're are made especially for R&B fans, so I'm not surprised pop-fans that listen to urban music once in a while don't like it.

But you do have a point about anything else. If she wants to bring her game to the next level, she need to skip those street artists that call them self producers and hop on the real thing. She can be creative in the big studios. I wish she could call Katy B for help, would love to hear those two together.

Also you know what's up ? Rochelle can sing circles around Beyoncé, so Nessa is nothing.

The song is just crap like the rest of the solo songs she made.

Please go back to the charts thread :drama:

I agree, this track especially isn't dull. It's actually quite clever lyrically and she sounds great, it's the production that's definitely an issue.

It would be nice to see her go the M.O route because they were making great tracks but when they signed to Polydor, their tracks were amazing.

But then, I don't think Vanessa wants to be a label puppet. She doesn't like being told what to sing/say/do..

Plus, she's not super confident which is why we didn't see lots of her in interviews etc when she was in The Saturdays.

She knows what the risks are, I'm sure she's happy just getting by making music without the politics behind it.

Her vocals are AMAZING.

Such a lush headvoice and falsetto. The last minute or so is just pure bliss

The song's even duller than I remembered, though...

Hurricane I swear to.. god

Vanessa's best vocals since her voice broke, even better than the Disco Love era.
