ugh I hate SYCO.

This is getting huge amounts of buzz already. They should have released it on Friday, get all the buzz going with the lyrics, speculation etc. Done the X Factor performance on Sunday when the initial front loaded sales started to fall and then dropped the video at the end of the week (Tuesday/Wednesday). Bam. Easy top 3 and possible Number 1.

We need to stop talking about it because it just makes me angrier. They're already doing some really risky (releasing an album soon after a lead, something that has already failed for them before) and they wanna f*** up the release of the lead? Christ. They need a new team fast.

I don't think the album being released quickly afterwards will be a problem for them, as, they'll get off-the-bat huge radio support this time round, which never never got before Plus lots of albums seem to go with this strategy these days. As long as they do a good amount of promo - (XF + Graham plus some smaller slots) and the video is good, I think the album will open to biiiig numbers.

 

I just can't be my head around why they'd want 3 days of sales and 4 days of streams missing from SOTME's week 1 though.

The Sunday release is BAFFLING to say the least but ultimately, I think it would climb in week 2 anyway so in the grand scheme of things, it won't matter too much I hope! Take Clean Bandit's Tears for example, that had a full week of sales plus a BGT performance, and it still went 6-5 in week 2. First weeks thankfully don't matter too much now.

Releasing the album soon after the lead again is risky but then they were coming off the back of two singles that are among their lowest sellers and they were still building their fan base. Pretty much everything about the Get Weird era was a success and there is a lot of buzz around them right now so hopefully LM4 won't go down the Salute route of being an amazing album but not being as successful as it could be

The second is just a promo image they posted that someone as put the logo onto. It's better IMO.

Ok so the hype for this is absolutely amazing. My sister (who has no interest in music really) just messaged me asking where she can hear their new song. So I told her XF was the premiere of it to which she replied apparently they played it on radio and I was like nahhh, they probs just read lyrics out and she was like "that's what I mean. I wanna see them - something about faking it" so I found an article on Capital FM which say Perrie's verse basically annihilates Zayn.

 

It always amazes me when the general public take an interest coz it means the hype is very real. :lol:

I think Syco made them go with the Sunday release as premiering it on the X-Factor will pull in ratings.
