It was an Uptown Funk rip-off but that doesn't stop it being a hit! :heehee: But no, X Factor has never been about that, look at Joe McElderry and Olly Murs for example, or Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson/Cher Lloyd/particularly 1D. However, only the winner is *guaranteed* a contract, so that's why people vote :magic:

Well moan about Fleur all you like doesn't stop her havin a platinum single - she's still a new artist and they messed up so badly with the second release, cancelled it and decided to go down a whole new route, whatever happens it's not fleurs fault what happened to Ben, anyway she is back on XF this weekend.

Joseph is right XF has always been same - Simon can and will sign whoever he likes, Ben got a good deal with Kelly on the lead, Fleur didn't have a collab, Ben charted higher than reggie and bollie - don't ask me why they are still signed - Ben must've wanted out

are Reggie N Bollie actually still signed? 'New Girl' was a big flop and no-one cares about them anymore?
yeah they are Stilll signed and have been in studio presume they are doing their album - I expect they will get a slot too!
I expect Simon is hoping to give them an X Factor performance and launch them properly tbh!

I was shocked he never game them a big BGT slot as the single came out right around the time of the live shows.

I still care about them ^_^

"New Girl" is hardly a flop. It managed three weeks in the top 40 and without streaming, it would have been a top 5 single

I don't get it though Ben Haenow charted higher yet he still got dropped so how does that work
Reggie N Bollie have had one single so far - give them a chance. Ben Haenow had a poor performing single (considering Kelly Clarkson featured), a flop follow up (despite an X Factor final performance) and an underperforming album.
I don't mind them I just don't think it's fair, I'm sure they will be on the show promoting something else
How about Lily Allen? She has some new material coming I think?

I might have just made this up but I don't think she liked Simon and/or the X Factor and I just couldn't see her agreeing to appear on the show.

I know she had some beef with Cheryl a while back and produced a song but that was years ago and Cheryl aint a judge this year and im sure there was something about her hating those that came to fame through shows like x factor

I reckon that they'll have Niall on the first live results next week given his single charts next Friday. Probably Craig David as well for the same reasons with his album.
