Well this is probebly the album which made Rob so big worldwide. As far as singles go this is his most succesful album to date giving him 2 #1 singles and 3 top 10 hits. The first single was Rock DJ, with the music video shocking a few when Rob ripped off his skin ^_^ One of the best vids of all time IMO. Up there with Thriller. It was #1 for several weeks selling over half a million copies in the UK alone. The second single was "Kids", a duet with Pop princess Kylie Minogue which reached #2. The Album itself sold over 2 million in the UK and nearly 6 million worldwide. ^_^

Btw, I am not pleased that Sing was lower than Escpaology :angry: It is a brillliant pop album with no fillers imo unlike Escapology -_-

It's funny - individually the songs on Sing are all great, but for me Escapology is an album I listen to much more often. I think it just fitted my mood exactly when I discovered it in 2003, and was converted to Robbie worship ;)

Yes, well if it was the album that made you a fan than I can understand. That seems to be why either Escapology or IC always win Best abum polls cause they are his latest.

 

IMO Escapology is his weakest album (apart from Swing) It has some fantastic songs like Feel, Come Undone etc but also contains some fairly dodgy tunes unlike Sing which is very consistant. How Peculiar is also just noise imo and It really annoys me cause I always have to skip track one each time I listen :(

 

The US version is much better imo ^_^

Escapology was Robbie's last album co-written with long time song-writing parter Guy Chambers. It was his best selling album worldwide untill Intensive Care was released and overtook it B) The lead single Feel remains Robbie's biggest hit worlwide to date but failed to hit the top spot in the UK due to being released after the album. Typical EMI :rolleyes:

 

Escapology is my least favourite Robbie album to date apart from Swing -_- It has some classics like Feel & Come Undone and some good songs like Hot Fudge, Revolution, Monsoon etc but unlike other Robbie albums has a fair few dodgy songs like the truely awful How Peculiar :puke2: Also average song like Something Beautiful, Song 3, Handsome Man, Monkey, and the noise that is Song 3 -_-

 

Their was a different version of the album released in the USA which is FAR better IMO :wub:

 

But compared to most albums out in the charts these days it's a great album but not compared to Rob' other albums IMO -_-
