I personally think this would be a better choice than SOTME for the Brits. For one thing, Touch has had zero promotion since the X Factor final

This could really become on their biggest hit, it's going Platinum for sure I think.

Also, I imagine Ed should have slowed down quite a bit since so they could potentially overtake on iTunes!

Interesting to see this as their first single to be properly held up by streaming. Shame to see it peak at #2/3 on streaming and #3 on sales at completely different weeks.

 

 

 

 

I'm so glad they were able to adjust to the streaming era. Remember when we feared for their chart performance last year because of their poor streaming presence on the Get Weird Era?

And Touch is doing SO well! I hope it keeps going strong for a long time. SOTME is not doing too bad either, still in the top 30 of spotify.

2016 was the first year that streaming made a big impact on the chart so it was bound to take some getting used to but I can't deny I was worried after the GW era saw two songs peak at Number 11

If it wasn't for the second pre-chorus part being pretty much a non-event (the one where they're sitting on the chairs just singing) this would be seriously challenging 'Hair', 'Black Magic' and 'Salute' as my absolute favourite video from them. I really can't get enough of it <3

Its my favourite video from them in many ways. I love all the individual parts, Leigh, Jade and Jesy in particular. I also love their dancers in the video. I would love the ending choreo part more if it didn't look extra cheap at that point.

 

 

Also, they've managed to overtake everything that was ahead of them when they first peaked at #4. Rag N Bone Man, Clean Bandit and Louis Tomlinson (They were #3 in the mids all week that week and got overtaken last minute by Louis).

I hope they do perform it at the Brits, it would be a smart move and would ensure the track stays around much longer. I can't see why they wouldn't perform it, they'd be foolish to perform Ooops or SOTME

To be fair to them, they themselves give a good performance in the video but it is ultra cheap and nasty. Like at the end when they're in front of the maze it looks like a cardboard cut out prop you'd have in an assembly play at school.

Touch is kinda Bubbling under in Germany. It would be great to get a hit there, it's the best place to get a hit in Europe , they have a huge music market share. (I think third in the world behind the US and Japan).

There's no time now but going and promoting Touch in Germany before Ari would have been wise. Syco should buy them a good radio deal there instead.

I don't think one hit would help them in the Germany dates. But I'm glad to see it rising on iTunes.
