The gap between 3 and 1 isn't even that big. If they'd released the video on Friday, they could have easily been Christmas #1.

I'm kinda glad they haven't released the video yet cuz I want them to have a #1 for a 3rd consecutive year :

2015 : Black Magic

2016 : Shout Out To My Ex

2017 : Touch

Only Spice Girls did it when it comes to girl groups so it would be so great!

It's been moved to the front of hot songs on iTunes which should help.

I think Touch will end up being their biggest selling song, regardless of #1 or not. Bookmark me.

Streaming needs to catch up if this is to become their best selling single. SOTME did pretty well on streams and sales

SOTME was brand new. Post-album singles are always slower on streams. I'll climb quite nicely once Christmas is over, I'd say.

Not sure about that tbh. They're still miles behind Clean Bandit on Spotify at the moment, I doubt the video would have boosted it *that* much. They probably have a better chance of #1 in January anyway.

Another number 1 would always be welcomed but in this age securing top 10 hits in post album singles is great and they are on track for a top 5 hit with this.

Clean Bandit are 5k ahead, Little Mix had huge boosts from the Hair and Secret Love Song videos (35% rises I think), both of which were not that exciting as videos. The Touch video, given it's by a big director and has a top choroegrapher, is bound to have a substantial impact when it's released. It would have helped them on Spotify, too.

Yes, it would have got a big boost on iTunes and Spotify, I'm just not convinced it would have been enough for the Christmas #1. I guess we'll have a better idea whenever it's released (hopefully soon!). :P

:eyeroll: Calm down, I love the Hair video, but in terms of the general public, it wasn't a big budget ordeal that SOTME was or Touch is said to be. I'm just making a point that this could have even more impact.

16 on spotify! :cheer:

Yessss! Keep going girls!

LOVE that they've rectified the streaming problem of the 'Get Weird' era and actually got great positions in playlists etc!

Still just about #3 in the mids. Very likely Mariah and Louis will overtake due to streaming though. It might chart at #5 this week, with a climb into the top 3 next week.

How about the album - number 2?

Yes
