I mean it just doesn't build to any kind of climax (despite it trying to), the melody's really weak and there isn't any kind of hook. 0/3 is not good.

There are some decent ethnic touches which I will give it but I am in serious despair at a once high quality country selling itself to trends and the irony of a song called Beautiful Mess being ANYTHING BUT.

tbh this is the best male ballad this year. His voice is lovely, reminds me of Troye Sivan's vocals a bit

Surely this is Sandra Kim teas HE IS NOT 16 WTF

Meh at the song, it's not horrendous or unlistenable but it is quite "Spotify hit that doesn't really sell on iTunes" I can very easily imagine this doing well though.

Just read that Nadav Guedj in 2015 was younger than Kristian is now! :heehee:

This is a grower too, the expensive production really benefits it. I prefer this easily to Australia and Ireland in terms of the young male ballads! At some moments I can't get over the similarities to James Arthur's voice, but that's a good thing.

This is my main problem with it, I want to like it more than I do because 16 year old boys are meant to be my THING. At least it's better than Australia, but even though this is more modern, I think I prefer Ireland for the young male ballads right now just because Brendan's voice adds some more unique-ness to it.

Preditor.

Reading the reviews here but listening to it, it's not as bad as expected. Saying that, it's nowhere near as good as it thinks it is and it does border into dull territory. Given how stupendously brilliant Poli was last year, this is a disappointment.

why is Troye Sivan in Eurovision.

this is amazing

my god Bulgaria being on fleek two years in a row

I like it a lot on first listen! I'm not sure I'd want to listen to it again but it could be a strong performance.
Its not a bad song but somewhat forgettable which is disappointing as their entry last year was wonderful.

ugh this is even more amazing after more listens

that production goddamnit

THEY REALLY ARE f***ING DENSE

GERY-NIKOL WOULD HAVE WON THEM THE WHOLE THING

I HOPE THEY FLOP FOR THIS

Calm them tits of yours plz

Official video

I have to say, this has grown on me loads over the past couple of weeks (thanks Eurovision binge listening!) and that video is amazing! Definitely can see this being a top 10, maybe even top 5 contender in Kyiv now.

This has grown on me loads too after a bit of initial disappointment. If the video is any indication of how the performance will look or how much money / effort they're throwing at it, I'm believing this to be the closest challenger to Italy.
I'm with you, seeing that with the visuals/having been familiar with the song I kinda saw what the hype was about. If (when) Italy falters I can buy this being in the mix for the win.

I don't LOVE the song yet - but I'm fully approving of Bulgaria taking another step to world domination and no doubt proving that Poli was no fluke.

The melody still needs to win me over but the production and his vocals and general aura are really on point.
