I've listened to the entries at varying lengths and have come up with a clear superfinal prediction of René, Sada and Anja (finishing in that order). Thomas and Jeanette are most likely to spring a surprise, but that top 3 sounds about right to me!

I'd personally favour Sada if she can bring it on stage, but not sure Denmark will go for her enough to win a superfinal.

Entries should be on YouTube tomorrow but are already on Spotify!

No, the album's definitely on Spotify but it's not yet available in the UK
Aye, they are all on UK Spotify now, you might have to log out and then back in again to make them playable if they're not available yet.
Failing that, if you ask really nicely and drop something in my box then I could be convinced to send over the m4a files that Ryan sent me.

I'm inclined to say that if Never Alone couldn't win, Where I Am definitely won't. It's good but nothing special whereas Never Alone I genuinely believe would've been a winning contender. I think Sada could smash in Kyiv, I'm already impressed by the song but of course given the act she is the staging and performance will really impact and sell it as well, so fingers crossed she can do this! Ida's song is quite good too, but I really want Sada

I'm not sure what to make of this selection. My favourite based on the studio versions is A.S.A.P., thanks to the strings and the Fever-era Kylie production.

Sada's sounds strong, but I'm sure it'll come to life even more with the live performance.

I also liked Ida Una's song and Anja's was good...but also a bit Eternal circa 1996.

So basically most of my faves are songs that sound like they could have been releaded 20 years ago! Some of the others are more relevant/contemporary sounding but in all honesty flew right over my head on the first listen.

Sada sounds like it's trying to be a lot of things yet not quite pulling any of them off fully. That said, as a package, it's fairly impressive (or, in the case of Denmark, a revolution).

Sada says hers will be internationally released the day after DMGP, perhaps the rest will be the same!

Ida slightly passed me by, but she seems to be becoming a clear-ish favourite now. I really really like the song, but it doesn't seem like the sort of thing that will stand out from the first slot when Jeanette has something similar (but weaker) right at the end.

I also didn't pick up on Anthony, I think he could be the one if René isn't. Very Basim and I like this song too, except for the cringeworthy talking intro! I imagine it's going to be two girls and a guy in the superfinal, I imagine the girls will split each other's vote leading to the guy (Anthony or René) winning.

Word is that it's a four song superfinal this year. Not sure what/how that changes stuff but I'd imagine it wouldn't change anything massively.

TOMORROW'S NATIONAL FINAL...
DENMARK

http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z369/RC741/Eurovision%20Logos/Flag%20Logos/Denmark_zps1c8ec8ce.png

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix

25th February 2017
Begins at 7pm in the UK or 8pm Central European Time and in Denmark.
Programme is scheduled to last 2 hours.

Watch the selection via the official DMGP website.

Running order
01. Ida Una - One
02. Thomas Ring - Vesterbro
03. Rikke Skytte - Color My World
04. Anja - Where I Am
05. Calling Mercury - Big Little Lies
06. Anthony - Smoke In My Eyes
07. René Machon - Warriors
08. Sada Vidoo - Northern Lights
09. Jeanette Bonde - Hurricance
10. Johanna Beijbom - A.S.A.P.

Voting format
There will be two rounds of voting. Both will be decided 50/50 by a public televote and a jury consisting of five Danish Eurovision fans. While unconfirmed, it is believed that the top 4 songs will progress to the superfinal and in the superfinal, the 50 televoting points will be distributed proportionally whereas the jury members will give 10 points each to their favourite song only. Therefore, if four or five jury members favour the same song, you would imagine the televote won't be able to overrule them.

The favourites to win
At Unibet, Ida Una is very slight favourite on odds of 5/4 with Sada Vidoo close behind on 7/4. Also in with a chance are Anja (6/1), Anthony (10/1) and Johanna Beijbom (10/1). The other five are significantly behind.
And one more thing, here are the results from the dress rehearsal audience poll that has correctly predicted the winner and second place in the televoting in the past 2 years:

Lighthouse X - 48.7 %

Anja Nissen - 21.5 %

Bracelet - 11.5 %

Sophia Nohr - 7.4 %

David Jay - 2.9 %

Simone - 2.3 %

Muri & Mario - 2.3 %

Jessica - 1.7 %

Veronicas Illusion 1.1 %

Kristel Lisberg - 0.7 %

(349 people were polled, representing about 15-20% of the dress rehearsal audience.)

I didn't see that one coming! :kink:

Any idea if there's a 2017 version of this somewhere Ryan?

I looked for one last night and didn't find one, not sure if one emerged this morning or not

I think Anja was the stand-out performance here yet again, I think she as an artist is just of a higher calibre than everyone else and she can elevate any song. She's certainly in the superfinal, the other two (or three) spots are fairly wide open though!

If I was pushed I'd say Sada, Anthony and Jeanette if there are three more spots. If only two then Sada may miss out I think!

The fan jury have done their job and sorted out an all-female superfinal, consisting of Ida Una, Johanna Beijbom and Anja!

Surprising choices there, Anja really deserves this even if Ida probably has my favourite song.
